Yes, that was my post. Sorry, I would have put the link up myself only I was in a rush to get to the shops.
Anyhow, I wouldn't bother with the fix at the moment as most people seem to be having fewer problems today. Obviously, if you are still having trouble with a netgear router and it's your last resort, then by all means use the fix. It worked for me and i'm staying with it until everything sorts itself out.0 -

Can report that the fix that I put on DigitalSpy earlier today is still working fine and does seem to be a succesful temporary solution.0

I've also used the fix, and everything seems to be working alot better now >Fingers crossed< also noticed that its easy to revert back to the old settings should anything go pear shaped.
If all goes well for a week i might re-consider leaving them. If not im off to Sky. :T0 -
It's not a setting problem. AOL are telling people to change MTU size. This does not work. I have posted a fix on digitalspy for people with a Netgear Router. This was given to me by AOL but is only temporary while they fix this problem. It seems like the problem is huge.
I feel good knowing I'm not alone! :j After several wasted hours on the phone yesterday, I seem to have the problem fixed. I phoned Netgear for advice and the changes they suggsted seemed to work. I'm sick of the service from aol. I phoned to complain and the girl told me the the CPW switch was not a problem anymore. I am unsure who to believe.
I am considering moving to another isp but am scared the service will be just as bad and even slower. It's so frustrating!:mad:
Can I ask - what other isp would be better? I cannot get Virgin as I am not in cable area, but could get virgin analogue. I'm currently getting up to 8mbs with aol. Any suggestions? Thanks.Are we still waiting to sing as hummingbirds?0 -
I've been with AOL for years and years and years. Very few problems, and none recently.0
