Is anyone else experiencing the problems with AOL this evening. There are so many pages not loading on Explorer that it just aint funny. I've been on the phone to the Indian call centre of and on all day and the last person said "Get an engineer for your computer and everything will be lovely, Lee". I am so angry that I can only laugh.
I've spoken to several friends who all have the same problem this evening and Live help seems to be full to bursting. I went on there earlier and had 112 people in front of me.
Anyone else experiencing this misery? Tell me i'm not alone.

Your not alone.
Been off a bit this evening between 9.00pm and 10.00pm, and then when i finally got back on it was as slow as anything.
Also kiked me off the other day for a couple of hours.
Im not even bothering to ring up. I know the problems their fault not mine, and i certainly dont have the patience for their pre-set anwsers.
Do i sound bitter towards AOL help? Ha Ha.0 -
LOL You're not alone I'm only able to view this site by going via proxy.net:D
I've had problems viewing lots of pages since friday. See this thread

thanks for the link, bagpus. luckily im not (never have been ) with aol, i really can't understand why everyone doesn't just ask for a mac (breach of contract)and desert the sinking ship which is CPW. i appreciate we all want to save money, but surely quality of service and support has a value.
just realised CPW isn't a sinking ship, financially it's very bouyant, supported by the 12-18 month contracts numpties keep signing up for, if only they'd research beyond the £ signs before signing up, CPW would be forced to get its house in order.

It's ok Tony, I got the link from a member of www.paidtoshop.co.uk. I'm on a wireless network with my brother (and he decides who we go with as the bill is in his name) or I would dump aol. It's now a lottery of which sites I can get on:rolleyes:Tesco: £1361.19, Vanquis: £2644.73, Very: £563.08, Next: £1636.95, M&S: £1049.92. As of 5th February 2024. Slava Ukraini0

Im with AOL and im fine, you could have been moved over onto CPW's network, apparently you have to change some settings, im still on AOL's network
If you go here > http://network-tools.com/
if your ip address starts with 172 you are on AOL network, 192 is CPW0 -

Our IP has also changed to the 192 CarphoneWarehouse. I really don't need all this hassle when I'm in the middle of assignments.Tesco: £1361.19, Vanquis: £2644.73, Very: £563.08, Next: £1636.95, M&S: £1049.92. As of 5th February 2024. Slava Ukraini0

It's not a setting problem. AOL are telling people to change MTU size. This does not work. I have posted a fix on digitalspy for people with a Netgear Router. This was given to me by AOL but is only temporary while they fix this problem. It seems like the problem is huge.0
