Dell Inspiron 1300 Wireless Problem

Did you have any luck solving this? Its just yesterday my Dell laptop wireless started behaving exactly the same. Doesn't detect any networks when I scan for them and have been through all the possible solutions on this thread with no joy.

I had this a year or so ago - it was a nightmare which I ultimately couldn't resolve.

Inspiron 1300 WiFi card picking up a number of other Wi-fi signals (i even connected to my neighbours using his details) but not mine. Next door neighbour came around and picked up our WiFi signal straight away with his laptop and also his mobile phone. I've just checked now, and I'm recognising 6 other wireless networks.

I tried changing the router (Linksys & Netgear), also got a USB modem and still couldn't pick it up.

Its a good laptop but I'm annoyed I couldn't solve it - would appreciate it if you update us how it went (and if you solved it, how!!)

After 2 weeks searching i found how to activate Wifi on my inspiron 1300. You must go on Bios by pressing F12 on boot and in section WiFi or wireless choose one of the three options (Off) (Application) (FN+F2/App) I call the Dell technical service but they dont know how to do it !!! huh i selected (FN+F2/App) because it will allow you to use both the Fn+F2 and the application to enable or disable the Radio. Have Fun guys
