I bought it for my son's birthday present but someone else bought him one as well from ebay but it was from Hong Kong. That's why I took mine to Game and said it was an unwanted present from Dubai, so they know where it came from. There's nothing more to it, everyone is making such a big deal of this. Yes it is a good game but he didn't need 2, so we traded it for a Garfield game which my son wanted.

Why do people think that if a gba game is cheap it has to be illegal?

I recently bought three games from Amazon (Spongebob/ruggrats, Supermario pinball and one other) for real silly prices, The supermario was around £5.99 while other sites were selling it for over £25.00.

On the assumption that cheap games are therefore pirated it would indicate Amazon are selling pirated goods (Not)

Just remember the mark up on most games are astronomical.

Our lad wanted the new Pokemon Emerald game. Seeing as it's not out here until November we spent some time searching for it online at a decent price.

eBay had loads but I was sceptical that they were genuine copies and wouldn't purchase one for him. I then remembered we'd used Videogamesplus in the past and they had been very good.

Therefore we looked it up on their site and placed an order. It arrived within 6 six days without import duty as they had marked it as a toy and under £18 in value.

Sure enough when we opened the game box the cart was green (like all the Pokemon carts are colour coded to the name i.e. Ruby was red) and not black like all the eBay copies. Final cost delivered (inc conversion fee on card) was £26.

Will definitely be using them again.

Just because the game had come from a different country does not make it a fake. I purchased the Sims 2 from eBay and it is a Tai version. It was much cheaper, but was not a copy.

I recon that the difference in price has more to do with the fact that we live in "rip off Britton" and pay stupid amounts of tax compared to other countries.

I think either you should back those comments up with some facts or that post about M&S should be removed as either you or the site could be sued.

ok i will get some facts- you are right as i should not post without facts- so pls bear with me and if i cannot get any then i will say so- but i read on an article that they fund Israel who obviously use that money to keep Palestinians out of their homes and use it to keep killing and treating the Palestinians like !!!!e. And pls dotn say Israel arent terrorists as jsut cos they are a state does not make what they do legal. Just like the nazis. Actually they above all should understand what its like to be persecuted!

I think that what Tammy is possibly alluding to is the fact that a lot of UK supermarkets (not just M&S) buy fruit from Israeli firms. These fruits are grown on occupied areas of Palestine, and because the land is so cheap for the Israeli 'settlers', they will fight tooth and nail to ensure that the Israeli government has all the support it needs to delay any withdrawal from Gaza and the West Bank. As with all issues surrounding the sale of ethical/unethical goods, people can choose not to buy, and make a formal complaint to the buying managers of these firms. All of these fruits should be quite clearly marked Palestine as country of origin, and if you're unsure, ask the dept manager for confirmation of where they're from.
I don't doubt that Tammy has seen an article which states that M&S fund terrorism, but that discussion would be a thread for the Arms or anything else boards possibly.



As for the OP....I too have bought 2nd user games from eBay and traded these in at Game. Parley came up with a good tip, and should be given credit for it. Got a better deal than I normally get too....

On a slightly off topic (but mildly related) point...has anyone bought a PSP cheap anywhere, and if so....does it work ok, are plenty of games available, was it cheap...etc, etc...I've got to buy one for a birthday in 8 weeks.

Of cause not all games from a abroad are copied BUT when you buy a new release game very cheaply with no instructions and a flat packed box from a foreign seller on ebay, there's an extremely high possibility it will be fake!
