Soak your feet in a bowl of hot water - as hot as you would have a bath anyway, with a peppermint teabag in it. ALso cover the bottom of the bowl with marbles then you will get a lovely massage.
Dry the feet carefully then smother with vaseline and put clean socks on. Do this before bed and in the morning your feet will be lovely and soft.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Hi everyone,
I have recently changed my job and am on my feet nearly all day. I am looking to make my own foot bath to soak my feet in after work. Has anyone got any suggestions what I could add to the hot water to help soothe my poor feet?

Hi Dave,
I always find plenty of salt in the water does the trick for me - dirt-cheap, too!Oh come on, don't be silly.

Oh, I never thought of salt! I was thinking maybe bicarbonate of soda, it seems to work for everything else!0

Hi Dave,
There's an earlier thread with lots of ideas for helping your poor feet so I've added your thread to it to keep the suggestions together.

I'd vouch for the salt, too, a bowl of warm water, dissolve the salt, feet in, and watch your favourite TV programme. And get your OH to give you a nice foot massage afterwards. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Spent a fortune yesterday on a visit to a chiropodist---well as you get older, sorry mature, you cant always reach the tootsies to do the trimming--- and he finished up with a tiny tiny sanding machine to get all the summers dried skin off. Seems to me that a bit of a rub with some emery paper from the DIY shop might help the dry skin on heels. Nowhere near as nice as the feet in a bowl of something scented and hot! Get someone to do a foot massage for you, works magic for the aches
