Rubbing a mixture of sugar & olive oil into them and waiting for a few months is also good. Just rinse off with warm water.

Not too sure about waiting a few months with sure and olive oil on my feet....;)

I use baking soda, honey and olive oil my feet and it feels lovely. We forget our feet and they do so much. Do it every week and you'll see such a difference.
Getting there... A deal at a time. :T

Urea is fantastic for softening skin. Soak your feet in a bowl of your urine for lovely soft feet. Can't get more :money: than that!

Never fancied trying it myself, but an older lady I worked with used to treat dry skin with her urine and it worked.

Urea is also the main ingredient of many eczema and other dry skin condition creams.
Here I go again on my own....

    Garters give you varicose veins!:D

I have a hard skin scraper from the 'Body Shop'. It is wooden with a rough side and a smooth side. It cost very little and is fantastic. A chiropodist recommended it to me - and boy do they know about feet.......

I read that a bit of epsom salts in soaking water is good.
  • This is one of my really early childhood memories as my Mum used to word in the local Co-op so was on her feet all day.

In the evening she would sit with a washing up bowl (not the main one!!) full of hot water and bubble bath and soak her feet whilst watching TV. Once a week or so she would then cover her feet in a vaseline, petroleum jelly type cream then put her feet in a plastic bag and then socks on top - be very careful walking around it feels slippy! but its an early version of a spa and she swore by it!!

    Enjoy!!

I got a back-scrubbing brush with long handle, just for my feet, and when I have had a good soaky bath I wash my feet very thoroughly with the brush, scrubbing a lot (gently) all over, then I rinse well, dry and put lots of nice cream on (I usually use any handcream I have.) My feet always feel wonderful, all tingly and young - I think they are surprised at being treated so well, and it doesn't take long. A loofah, or roughish flannel would do just as well. Painting my toenails make my feet feel cheerful too !

Epsom salts in a footbath or bath are great for aches. Add a couple of drops of peppermint oil or essence to refresh and stimulate.
