Why not do the treatment for a few hours when he is out or watching sport etc.

My DH has never got over seeing me with a carrier bag over my hair - I was deep conditioning it and could not find a plastic bag - I also thought he was out of the way for an hour!

oh he's used to that - he even gets the plastic bag after he's coloured my hair.

i have had launched on me yesterday the fact that two of the people at the main distributor whose product he is trying to sell are getting married tomorrow and we've been invited to the evening do. talk about given a girl a warning. so i think i will be trying this treatment tonight - as we both have colds (he's coming to the end and I've been given it - his genorousity is endless!) so he will be sleeping in the spare bedroom. Got a bottle bag and a card off the market (cost £1.39), box of confetti (50p) and a bottle of sparkling wine on offer at asda (i'm not going to champers for somebody i don't know the name of) - total wedding gift cost £6.89.......

and i have done £40 of private work over the last few days (that's why I haven't been on). also forgot sarnies yesterday and today and both days a rep came in with sarnies for us all - i am estatic!!!!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D
  • I've been on my feet all day and my tootsies are in desperate need of tlc. One problem - I have no intention of spending!!! Does any one have a home made miracle cure im in agony!

Anyone who helps me out I will be your slave for the week...maybe!

Try not to laugh, I know this sounds typically OS - but soaking them in a bowl of warm water with vinegar makes them feel better! I got this tip from a book I bought in the Seventies caled "The I Hate To Housekeep Book".:D

bit of salt in oil rubbed all over leave for say 15minutes or longer if you can and then wash with warm soapy water-even vegetable oil will do will improve the condition of the skin and leave them shiny and soft- be careful tow wear slippers though in case you slip.Otherwise melt some vaseline in the microwave rub all over feet and slip on some thick socks leave for as long as possible for shiny baby bum soft feet.To boost circulation soak in some water with a tiny bit of bubble bath in if you don't have any feet products or if you ahve fresh mint leaves then those are fab to use, after the soak blast your feet with cold water wipe with a towel and stick on some moisturiser.

I had a similar problem a month or so ago. I'd been on my feet all the previous day entertaining, I woke up the next morning and my feet were killing me. I had to finish the tidying up from the (late) night before getting ready to drive over 100 miles to another party in another town and I didn't think my feet would be able to stand it all without some tlc.

So, I got a bowl of v. hot water, threw in a couple of large sprigs of fresh rosemary from the garden and about three tablespoonfuls of olive oil.

I let it cool to about blood heat and then soaked my feet in it for 15 minutes.

It was divine and certainly did the trick! It's important to use really hot water initially so that the rosemary sprigs have a chance to infuse (a bit like making tea)

Mind you, I guess it's a useless recipe if you don't happen to be lucky enough like me to have rosemary growing in the garden!

Feet soaking is the answer according to a 'foot' person I saw on the tele a few weeks ago. She said our grandmothers knew about soaking their feet - keep adding a drop of hot water to keep it nice and warm.

Someone asked her about those foot spas, the said ok if you have one but not essential.

Rubbing a mixture of sugar & olive oil into them and waiting for a few minutes is also good. Just rinse off with warm water.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
