The photo on the first page looks fab, can I ask - did you put the cherries on before or after baking?
Thanks!

Thanks PP, another question for you - the rice paper. Does it come in pre-cut circles or do you have to cut out the maccaroons once cooled?
Just trying to get my head around it, I always loved the rice paper when my mum made maccaroons
Thanks

It came in sheets. I just put the blobs of macaroons onto it, then once cooked broke off the excess and ate it:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Hi nettles,
Of course it isn't a crime to ask. All I was saying was that you have made them before and enjoyed them, so why not use that recipe again?
It's clear from your reply that you have taken offence from my post. It was certainly not intended to be offensive in any way.

My recipe for coconut macaroons is dead easy but needs a very hot oven for a short time 350 degrees for 8 mins
I used 4oz coconut, 4oz condensed milk,1tsp vanilla extract, mix it all together. Put spoonfuls on well greased baking sheet. cook 8mins 350 degrees, allow to cool slightly and moove onto cooling rack. I use half the quantities and make them as sweets
OMG Sandy, this recipe is so easy and divine!! Been eyeing this thread for days and got the ingredients about a week ago, so I finally made them last night....how awesome are they?!! I didn't have any rice paper so I made them in silicone cases (re-washable/re-usable) and they came out fine, although the cases are a bit faffy to wash later...but then what are DHs for?!!
I had some melted chocolate left over so I added more stuff to make chocolate browniesThis pic isn't as appetising as the one Penelope posted (I was truly drooling looking at that pic!) but this is my end result
Recipe for brownies avail should anyway want it, even though I think there must be loads on this forum already?
