I cancelled through my online account.
It takes you through a series of pages (reason/comments, days until next payment - cheek says to stay another month in case discs not back in time, alternative packages, terms and conditions of cancellation, mentions again about discs being back by **/4 else another month will be taken.) with some irrelevant as I am an Instant only customer.
Says I will get an email. My account is showing as inactive. (although I have already paid for a few days more)
Have quit as sick of the buffering/video quality, search facility and not being on my console.0 -
Just adding the link to Martin's updated piece called Beware Recurring Payments: Recurring payments can be a nightmare because that was the crux of my problem with Lovefilm.
It didn't matter how many times I told them to close my account, or whether I did it by phone, email, or post - they didn't stop taking my money until my bank prevented them from doing so.
I wouldn't ever sign up for a recurring payment again.

It also took me many attempts to get them to cancel my subscription - I hated that I had to phone them rather than just cancel online! Got it cancelled in the end though they still send me about two letters a week with 'special offers' and the like. Wish they would go away!
I now have Netflix which is a great price (I pay £5.99 a month) and I believe it is easy enough to cancel.Feb wins: Angry Birds mug, £250 Perfume Shop bundle0
