Hi - Just back from hols and opened box containing chair, but does anyone else agree that rather than being cream, it looks more sort of pale green? I've checked that there isn't some sort of plastic covering or anything, but it definitely isn't the same sort of cream that you usually get in leather (effect!)

Or have I been sent a duff chair? Lovely looking with the chrome and all that, but the colour of mine is very disappointing.

Well OH actually says it's grey, and having looked at the box that has 2 tick options - 'dark brown' and 'silver', it's the silver one that's ticked, so the plot thickens!

Are you sure you ordered the right one? Just after the cream promotion they went on to do a silver version as well.

I have sold office furniture for many a year, sadly the big contract stationers sell on price as opposed to quality where some items are concerned.
The chair you have will not be faulty, but a cheap and cheerful chair to sit on.
Hopefully it will last the warranty period.

I clicked through the link provided on here for the cream one and definitely remember website saying it was cream, but maybe they ran out and sent a silver one in replacement?

No notification telling me this though and the cream (or the silver for that matter!) are no longer showing on their site.

E-mail to them in the morning, methinks!

I rang up for this one last week and it was out of stock so they offered me a differnt one which is a big chair for £9.99,she also offered me a box of paper for £9.99 and because i hadnt used them for a while free delivery,a cd player and when they came there was a tin of quality street all for £23.47.

Well, just to update on my silver chair/cream chair prob a couple of posts earlier - I emailed them and dealt with a lovely lady called Belinda, who told me that they still had the cream one available, although it was a couple of pounds dearer. She said that she would arrange for a collection of the silver one and delivery of the cream one at the same time, to save the driver making 2 trips. She also promised a full refund inc P&P for the silver one and free P&P for the cream one!

I received a cream chair the very next day (even though my contact with her was at 7pm the night before!), however, the driver for some reason had no collection paperwork, so couldn't take silver one, so I had to email them again.

I was then called by 'Jeanette' who said they would refund the silver one immediately and that it would be too costly for them to send a driver back so I could keep the silver one with their compliments!

So, a huge vote for Viking Direct from a new customer! 10/10 :beer:

Now, what to do with the silver one!
