Yes they speak English some better than others, and dont get me wrong they are very polite but its a struggle to understand them as I am sure it is with us consumers in UK, sometime it doesn't help that the call is long distance in fairness to them
Its not often I ring a call center but when I do I dont want to repeat myself over and over again, its frustrating as I am sure it is for them to understand and vice versathey speak english... so whats the problem?
You obviously havent read all the posts I did state "I just struggle to understand what they say"0 -

lasrt night a insurance company was advertising on Tv and they highlighted an English call centre that says it all dosent it people want to speak to english people who they can understand.
A friend had a message from BT on their phone and they couldnt understand it they handed me the phone and i listened i couldnt get it all either it was from India. Its pathetic did Bt ask if their customers minded.
Like i said if there isnt a problem why was then insurance company highlighting an English call Centre.:footie:0 -
Dare I say it but maybe these people with Indian accents ARE in the UK? I have an Asian friend who works in a call centre in Bradford and she says at the moment ALL the staff there are Asian or Black.
Personally I usually find that i get more sense out of the call centre employee and the problem solved quicker when I am actually re-routed to India.0 -
well ive dropped a few companies because of struggling with indian call centres.
last one was halifax after taking 12 calls to not renew my car insurance
the scots accent vs indian call centres is not a good mix,and i dont have a broad accent really.
plus i find the (IMHO) very fake over polite scripts hugely annoying
as for asian call centre operatives in the UK? i would assume they would have a more natural flowing english in conversation tbh0 -
do u have problems with scottish or Liverpudian accents??Yes they speak English some better than others, and dont get me wrong they are very polite but its a struggle to understand them as I am sure it is with us consumers in UK, sometime it doesn't help that the call is long distance in fairness to them
