I use No7 Waterproof mascara and have done for years. I have very sensetive eyes, I can't use No7 Sensitive mascara oddly enough. Like another poster said about their chosen brand, I also gave birth to my DD wearing No7 and it was still on and unsmudged 30 hours after!0

What stings? Your eyes, your skin? Is it like having a perm (distant memory
) where your scalp burns a bit? Does this mean I shouldn't wear my contact lenses if I go to have it done?
Jxx
I find my eyes sting towards the end of the time, and while they are wiping the dye off the lashes. This is because a small amount of the solution always seeps into the eyes (ouch!). This seems to be quite normal as I've had it done in a number of different salons and they have all warned that this can happen. Having said that one of the other posters says she has never had a problem, so maybe it varies from person to person.
You are always asked to take your lenses out before having it done. Certainly unless you have daily disposables I wouldn't wear them during the procedure in case they got stained by dye. Personally I'd want to wear my glasses for a few hours afterwards rather than put my lenses straight back in again.
All this being said, in my view it is worth the temporary discomfort to have it done.0 -
ok, so now i know it works i'll try again!
The clinique new mascara also does the "tube thing". I was talking to the clinique girl in Boots who said that it is good. Personally i find it strange to get off, but i suppose it depends what you are after!
I love max factor aqualash, and find that a good pair of eyelash curlers are way better than any mascara for giving the "fake eyelash curl".
As a self confessed queen of make up samples, have you tried going round a big boots/department store and mentionning your issues with others/requirements of a mascara? They usually have a few mini mascaras around if they feel you really may buy it if it works for you! Alternatively most make up counters (& Avon) do a good returns policy if things aren't exactly as you want/have a reaction etc so you should be able to return things pretty quickly and not have wasted money while you try.
Good Luck!

Chanel inimitable waterproof. Can't say more. Have paid a fortune for eyelash dying and couldn't see any difference.0

Summary of your favs
Estee lauder double wear have a new one out.
The Chanel above sounds good.
The Diorshow sounds good & YSL FauxCils
& the Blinc Kiss Me & this one Kanebo 38C mascara & urban decay big fatty mascara
You can see I like the high end stuff!
So many to try, so expensive, I need to work my way through them (slowley!).
The Clinique one doesn't grab me, but I don't really like Clinque & I don't like their packaging!0 -

The "stiniging" is due to the hydrogen peroxide in the product after all eyelash dye is simply a milder form of hair dye that is how it works.;)Are U getting enough Vitamin D in your life!?0 -
Did you see the price:mad: not very MSE:rolleyes:
Actually my daughter was talking about having falsies that last a couple of weeks for her holiday, but I don't think she will if thats the price:eek:
Tried yet ANOTHER mascara today. No.7 dream lash, it was free in a pink box gift daughter got on Saturday. Its ok, not massivly "fake" looking, but no smudging, but even though its not smudged off, its sorta worn off & I've only had it on about 8 hours.
She also bought the No.7 360 mascara, so I will borrow that for a day.
Good way of trying them, borrow other peoples:D , very MSE:p0 -
Ha, I was wondering when money would become the stumbling block!! Plus it says you've got to have them touched up every two weeks. But I didn't even know they existed until earlier today!!:D
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
