OMG this is THE best thread ever.
Totally agreeing with everything already written especially the Blackpool Iluminations thing.
I was at a mates house on saturday night sharing a few bottles of 3 for 2 wine. Came home rather worse for wear but still managed to turn everything off at the wall.
Settled down on sunday to watch 'A time to kill' which OH had V+'ed only to find that it cut off after an hour. All i got from him was "see you and this bl00dy MSE"
Another one could be
pushing your way to the front of the REDUCED section at Tesco/Morrisons/Boots etc THEN going for your shopping.
Another is asking family and friends for old books/CDs/DVDs in the hope that you can sell them on Ebay.
As for the £2 coin thing - i haven't had one since way before christmas. I am not ammusedOfficial DFW nerd no 551 - proud to be dealing with my debts

That's because the rest of us dfw's have them held captive in our piggies:rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I'm a lurker but I didn't realise how much this site had affected me!! I've another couple to add:
* when your 8-year old turns the lights off during a party to save money!
* when you panic when someone asks for a receipt for an item you've bought them because you know it was either free or from a sale!!
* when your sister always moans that you have nothing to eat when she visits - and brings her own food with her!
* when your husband jumps out of his skin when you catch him with the electric fire on because he thought you were asleep
* when you catch said husband using the heater in the car
I'm starting to worry now.Taking responsibility for my future!

lol!!!
Yes, I can honestly say I have done a number of these!!
You know you're a DFW when....
You ask people you don't know that well who they bank with, what CC's they have, and if they have reclaimed charges..
You turn down pub lunches with the excuse of "working through" lunch
You boast about your debt free date to ANYONE who'll listen.
MSE & piggy clicks are the first thing you do in the morning
Snowballing to you has nothing to do with snow...
You're PROUD to be a nerd...DFW #414, MoneySaver, Income Booster
