Well bumped! I love this thread :j
And it's when you get excited about getting really practical gadgets for your home that you wanted to buy yourself but couldn't afford, yet having them will save money (decent hoover, tea towels, mixer etc)*
*this is not a list of all my Christmas prseents, btw - I also got some gloriously impractical yet beautiful things@ LBM = £15,872.65, now £10,819.82AF Jan = 7/? Feb = 5/14 Mar = 14/20 Apr = 6/14 May = 2/14 June 2/14 July 0/TF Aug 1/TFv Sept 6/TF Oct 4/7"NEVER DOUBT YOUR OWN QUALITY"0 -

You know you are a dfw when:
You spend Christmas Eve evening knackered after yet again committing yourself to making too many presents
You wonder if it is possible to replace an addiction to shopping/spending/drinking * with an addiction to DFW forums

@honeybear
This is a complaint about my Christmas pressie from my brother and sis-in-law. I like subtle, tasteful and not pink but they have given me this year what can only be described as a 'manbag'. I'm sure someone on Ebay will like it!

Ooh I love this thread!
My ones are:
- When you come out in a cold sweat if you don't post on the PAD thread every day
- When you have more Facebook friends from MSE than "real" people you know
- When said Facebook account is in your MSE name and created for a weekend when the forums were down and you wanted to PAD :rotfl: We have our own FB secret group and everything!
- When you have attended a DFW meet and introduced yourself to a tablefull of strangers by your internet name first
- When Mr Fresian attends the same DFW meet despite not using the site as he's heard so much about some of the people
- When you wait up until 2am (honest to God) to buy the Soap and Glory hatbox from Boots when it was £20 and not £50. And get a local MSE person to buy a "spare" in case Boots failed to stock control properly. Then send the spare to another MSE person on the other side of the country who missed out
- When you refuse to buy anything from the Boots 50% off sale as you know the JOY of the 75% off sale from last year
- When you're not replacing your (vastly overpriced but beloved) Benefit makeup as you're only £5 in Boots point off getting it for free and you know your 75% off shopping will sort out Christmas and pay for the free stuff
- Many of your friends will be getting £2.65 books from Bangzo/Wotnix/Snazal
- When BB stands for B!ngo Britain not Big Brother :rotfl:
- You bought your OHs new mobile after spending 1.5 hours trying to find one that qualified for the 2000 extra Clubcard points
- You bought your brother's new laptop through your work discount site then told him you had to pay for it with your (Clubcard) credit card
Further cheeked him by then requesting the invoice from the box it came in so you could claim the free M&S hamper with purchase :rotfl:
- When you have a spreadsheet showing who you have bought birthday/Christmas presents for, how much the RRP was versus how much you paid and are offsetting this with your Quidco earnings
- When you buy the M&S Dine In For A Tenner and flog the win to your friend thus making it Dine In For A Fiver
- When you inventory the freezers (yes, we have two) and realise you have four whole chickens in them due to various offers. This then saves you money as you have a posh chicken for Christmas dinner instead of anything "festive" themed but double the price
