I've read on here that Trade Appliances are in administration and generally lots of negative feedback. However, has anybody used Appliancesdirect.co.uk (as this was what came up when I put Trade Appliances into Google). Are Appliancesdirect the same company as Trade Appliances?

Can anybody recommend where I can buy hob/cooker at discount price?

I think that these are the people who have taken over trade appliances, have never used them so cant say if they are any good or not

have recently (this week) used http://www.bunnyappliancewarehouse.co.uk/ think they also have a site appliancecity and another but not sure of the name, would reccomend them, cant comment on delivery as I live relativly near so went and collected (they have a small showroom) but woudl definatly use again

ive used https://www.empiredirect many times and found them to be ok. they will haggle on price/delivery.
they have stores all over the place.

and remember, use a credit card for any purchase over 100 quid. esp to online companies that no one has has ever heard of.

Trade Appliances did go in to administration due to there own problems. It was taken over by Easy Computers / BuyItDirect Group which runs many other web sites.

They also own LaptopsDirect.co.uk, DirectTVs.co.uk, AirConDirect.co.uk, AcerDirect.co.uk and more.

As in my other post, i have purchased from these companies on lots of occasions and have never had any kind of problem with them so it should be a lot better now. They have also been around for about 8 or 9 years and have a huge base in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

The name has now changed to ApplaincesDirect.co.uk and its has nothing to do with the shoddy outfit that was TradeAppliances.

I recently had many problems with the *new* company. Delivery promises were ignored with no communication as to why not, goods are not kept in stock and telephone calls are ignored.. Even when I left a message to say I wanted to upgrade my order to something they could deliver in 7 to 14 days, they didn't bother to telephone back.
This is a company in a serious tail spin into the ground.

Avoid anything to do with laptopsdirect. There even spamming forums now promoting the companies.

Just search the forums, youll just find nightmare stories.
