Trade Appliances are in Administration

I'd put this on 'Shop but don't drop' board, but someone said here would be a good idea as well. So..........

OH has just rung to say, Trade Appliances has the Receivers in, although their website seems to still be up and running.

We were waiting on a load of Rangemaster stuff, hopefully we'll get our money back via our credit card!!! Apparently there is a recorded message when you ring saying all people with outstanding orders will be contacted within 72hrs by the Receivers, we shall wait and see what transpires??????

Although their website is up and running and there is no visible signs of their demise (apart from some very small text at the bottom of the page) their customer service/delivery line says they are.... so I'll await my call from the receivers...

Why does it seem like their website is stil taking orders? It does say (in administration) at the bottom of the page, but surely they shouldn't be allowed to take orders still?

don't trade appliances also trade under other names

such as

every appliance?

i'm sure there was a couple of others too

Thankfully, I paid for my goods using my well worn Visa card. It's frustrating that they still seem to be taking orders from their website, when they have plenty of orders that they don't seem to be fulfilling.

Still waiting that call from the receivers......

I ordered a washing machine from Trade appliances in January-after 3 long weeks without a washing machine despite me keeping ringing and being fobbed off I spoke to them and they admitted they had credit problems with Tricity Bendix-I then said I would like a refund immediately and I had an email to say that this would come in 7-10 day and now I hear they are in administration. However I did pay with Mastercard so they have said i will get money back but can't give me a definite timescale-so fed up as every penny counts at the moment.

Been to the site and I (maybe blind) cannot see anything about admin.

Cookie - you are right! They have taken the administration sign off their website. Here's a story link to the local newspaper.

Also, if you run a Companies House check (for free) it states they are in administation. Their company number is 03227556

My credit card company has contacted me quickly (still nothing from the administrators...), so here's hoping I get my hands on my money soon.....
