Have just made a loaf in my BM [haven't used it for 6yrs] but its stuck. Instructions say shake lightly and it will fall out....it hasn't. What should I do?We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

Have you tried running a knife around the edges and then tapping it on a bread board?#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Did that but to no avail...finally decided it was stuck on the kneading blade so had to cut it out...fortunately I have the plastic lettuce knife that lakeland sell[ brilliant thing , am always using it] Have since tried to get the blade out but it appears stuck in the pan....NOW What?We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

If it is similar to mine, I have to wiggle the screw thing on the outside to loosen the paddle before it will spit it out.
Sorry - see you have cut bread out. I put hot water in the empty pan and brush around the paddle - I didn't think you could take them out. Oh heck0 -
When I had a BM this happened to me repeatedly, despite them sending a new pan. It's what prompted me to start handbaking
(Mine was a Prima BM)

It says its a Schneider of some sort. Have lost booklet so have cobbled a recipe for it off this site from somewhere. It was a cheapie (£40 ish) from Asda couple of years ago. Dug it out again after reading these boards. However EVERY time I make a loaf, I struggle to get the paddle to let go of it.
Does everybody else have a big hole in the bottom, or is it just me. I seem to lose a good portion of the bread to the hole.0 -

I have the same thing happen with the Morphy richards fastbake. ( and the rrp on that is apparently over 70?)
One of the things they say to do on the MR if the paddle gets stuck in is
a) check the hole that the post goes through on the paddle if theres any rogue bits of dough/ crumbs
b) check the pole if theres dough/crumbs
Obvoiously when the BM heats up its softens this dough and makes it sticky again so the paddle wont come out.
I seem to be battling with this daily, so you have my sympathies, its startting to really annoy me - but I wouldnt go back to shopbought bread with its raft of nasties and ridiculus price, for anything. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Put an inch of water in for about ten minutes ONLY*. If the paddle still won't lift off then ease the handle of a spoon under the paddle and lever it up.
We've had this before so I'll see if I can find the picture and the thread.
*Mine's a schneider too and the book says not to leave water in for more than ten minutes.
Edit: I've just found the older thread so I've merged the two together.
