Best Customer Service???

That's what confuses me about First Direct... how can they have great customer service when it seems HSBC have none? They are the same company right???
Yes, HSBC and First Direct are different divisions of the same bank.
However, while I agree that First Direct's customer service is the best, I suspect that HSBC is quite good as well when compared to the other high street banks.
Just looking at the results of this unscientific poll its seems HSBC is doing very well - which is an even bigger achievement when you consider that it has the smallest market share of current accounts of any of the big banks at around 15%. - while Lloyds has about 40% of that market. So you would expect to see Lloyds well out in front all other things being equal..
