It's ages ago, but in a much earlier Boots thread, we did have one poster "crabbySA" who I think made it quite clear that they didn't like people getting a bargain!

    Anyone else remember them?

I think there have also been several other Boots staff on here. And very helpful too - telling people about when the sales are starting etc.

    Welcome aboard!

Hope you're a nice employee and not averse to putting those coupons thru the till! :)

yes lol i will always put coupons through the till, if they won't work they won't work, but it's worth a try. not for me to question what boots systems will and won't allow! plus it's always nice to have a happy customer :)

I remember CrabbySA very well. I'm sure she went back and reported the glitches as they seemed to get fixed really quick!

Welcome Boots 247 and thanks for offering to help if you can :j
:pwould like to make it known it is not a DHN, she's dancing :p

If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.:A
  • Ooooooh, a spy ;)

I see you're in the Midlands, you don't work in the Coventry store by any chance do you? I think I'm getting a little *too* well known in there, last week the SA (who is lovely and I always try to go to!) said "oh hello, what vouchers have you got today then?" :o

haha, i'm no spy. i work for the company, i like boots, but i know they're not perfect. I have no problem with people trying to use vouchers; thats what they're there for! only people i don't like are thieves who try to get refunds on stolen goods! or throw things at me (yes, it has happened lol)
I don't work in coventry unfortunately: but i have worked in several stores in the south birmingham/south manchester area.

Hi, I don't know if you have had Boots employees on here before, but just to let you know I am a Boots employee with over 5 years experience, and have worked in several stores in different regions and different departments. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have fairly and to the best of my ability. :)

Hi boots247 and welcome to this thread. There other boots employees like you around, so don't feel isolated!! And everyone is nice in here [except for the occasional rant about someone at a till, who was surely having a bad day, and as such made one of our posters have a bad day, then she (safe to assume we are mostly gals here, except for "duder"!! and a couple others who drop in to buy their significnat others a nice gift) comes here to share with us her "nightmare", and everyone starts reminiscing about their bad experiences... and so on... until a new glitch appears, and it is all back to normal. And don't get me wrong, I've had my share of bad experiences with SA. And none compared to the time I was almost accused of stealing something, because I wanted to retunr something without the receipt and the first person I talked to at the till must have had a malfunctioning till (if this makes any sense) and everyone who paid there, beeped when they left the store - my goods were placed on her till as well, but she told to go elsewhere and after 30 minutes running aroud the store without being able to reach the appropriate person I decided to leave the store ... and that was when I beeped. ]

Perhaps you might help me with something: what are your instruction when it says "voucher not to be used with any other offer"? What does it really mean? It's just that most of the times stuff is reduced and there is a voucher or an offer on, and it is increasingly complicated to figure out if there is any rational to the way the tills are programmed... (for instance if the N7 GWP is out at the same time the £5 voucher, why is it not made clear if one can be used wth the other and how they can be used?) Are you given any special instructions in these cases or simply told to accept what the till says?

This is mainly curiosity, since my guess is that there is no rational to how the tills are programmed. In fact the person who does it seems to be not very good at it, luckly it is most of the time in our favour!!
