its really up to discretion on this one. the official policy is as long as its not been opened, they should exchange it (anything else in the store if you don't want something from no7) or give you a giftcard. if you have the receipt, they should give you a refund if its resaleable.0 -
lynsayjane wrote: »Hi guys,
well I went for the P&P gift set as recommended but they were sold out. I was having a chat with the sa (the no7 ones here are lovely) and she happened to mention something I was dying to come home and tell you!
The limited edition huge P&P packs are going half price one day this week! Even at £99 it was better value than the smaller but at £49 for a whole years supply my mum is getting that for her birthday/mothers day! The sa also said that they had hundreds of them so not likely to sell out (though please don't buy all the ones in Aberdeen or my mum will likely kill me!).
I'm planning on buying one with my £5 off voucher, using the 250 points voucher from the gwp I got yesterday and the 75 bonus points from the acm, oh and the highlighter with the mag voucher. Can't think of anymore bootsy way to get it!
Hope you all get some!
Would just like to remind you that it's already 50% off online now.

and it adds a GWP to your basket. If you spend over £50 by adding something teeny, you can also get the 500pts offer.
If you were thinking of buying more than one, I would order them separately to get the GWP with each, as you get free P&P over £40 anyway.
And in case you forget there is another code for Mothers Day over on the discounts/vouchers/ board.0 -
Think your going to fit right in here Boots247!0

Hi boots247 and welcome to this thread. There other boots employees like you around, so don't feel isolated!! And everyone is nice in here [except for the occasional rant about someone at a till, who was surely having a bad day, and as such made one of our posters have a bad day, then she (safe to assume we are mostly gals here, except for "duder"!! and a couple others who drop in to buy their significnat others a noce gift) come here to share with us her "nightmare", and everyone starts reminiscing about their bad experiences... and so on... until a new glitch appears, and it is all back to normal.]
Perhaps you might help me with something: what are your instruction when it says "voucher not to be used with any other offer"? What does it really mean? It's just that most of the times stuff is reduced and there is a voucher or an offer on, and it is increasingly complicated to figure out if there is any rational to the way the tills are programmed... (for instance if the N7 GWP is out at the same time the £5 voucher, why is it not made clear if one can be used wth the other and how they can be used?) Are you given any special instructions in these cases or simply told to accept what the till says?
This is mainly curiosity, since my guess is that there is no rational to how the tills are programmed. In fact the person who does it seems to be not very good at it, luckly it is most of the time in our favour!!
there does not seem to be much rationale! often i just whack the whole lot through to see what will and won't go. if it won't go, till will just say 'not valid at this time or in this store' or 'threshold not reached' or just '.00' which is not very helpful lol! no one has ever told me to refuse a voucher even if the till accepts it: really what the till says goes. some people do take it upon themselves to enforce the rules strictly, it depends on which SA you get i suppose, but i do discourage this jobsworthing in my fellow SAs.0 -

Hi, I don't know if you have had Boots employees on here before, but just to let you know I am a Boots employee with over 5 years experience, and have worked in several stores in different regions and different departments. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have fairly and to the best of my ability.0

And don't get me wrong, I've had my share of bad experiences with SA. And none compared to the time I was almost accused of stealing something, because I wanted to retunr something without the receipt and the first person I talked to at the till must have had a malfunctioning till (if this makes any sense) and everyone who paid there, beeped when they left the store - my goods were placed on her till as well, but she told to go elsewhere and after 30 minutes running aroud the store without being able to reach the appropriate person I decided to leave the store ... and that was when I beeped. ]
When I was writing this I remembered this kafka nightmare I was involved in... and decided to share some advice with you about returns, since everyone is talking about it.
I told this story when it happened some months ago. Basically I did not show anyone the items I wanted to exhange without a receipt as I went in the store. I was careless and dumb... but I remember at the time, everyone returned stuff without receipts here, so that the points would not be removed from their cards and since I wanted to have an exchange within the same range, I thought it should be alright as well.... I was soooo stupid.
ALWAYS show the securtiy guard your items and say you would like to talk to someone about retunring them, even if you know your way around the store. ALWAYS. This is common sense, but I was so stupid I did not think about it. How else will they know you have not just stolen the items??
As I mention, there was surely something wrong with the till (I don't know what), but everyone who purchased their stuff from that till was beeping, so my items, whihc did not beep at the entrance, beeped when I left. As I was standing there while the store manager tried to sort things out, I saw lots of people beeping coming from that till... The store manager gave me the benefit of the doubt, but it would have been terrible if he had not done so. I still shake as I recall what happened. All because I was careless.
Needless to say, I have never returned anything to boots again, with or without receipt. I always think before I buy, and if I end up with a bit too much of something, off to the xmas stack!!0 -
BIG SNIP
I got given a GWP by a lady that didn't want hers (she actually wasn't going to get it until I told her she was entitled to one). Thank you if it was anyone on here.
:rotfl: I somehow doubt it was someone on here, as I think most of us would have firstly known about the GWP anyway and :rotfl: would have had the 250 pts voucher our first!!0 -
Boots247 - can I ask if you know when No7 is going on 3 4 2 again?
I live in hope!0 -
