  • I would have asked to speak to the manager - it shouldnt matter how much you spent a customer is a customer after all, she sounds like she was just annoyed at the great bargains you got!!

IlonaRn..... your post 1286 makes it look like I was saying take back the highlighters..... not good quoting, as it was somebody different to me that suggested it!
  • Oh well I am glad that I am not the only one that nearly had fistycuffs in Boots today, the No7 SA was non too pleasant. I was trying to make a query as I bought yesterday some illuminating liquid as they said they did not have the Special edition one I went for the normal one, however instore today they had tons (don't believe that they had an order in between me visiting store at 4.30 yesterday and 11am this morning!!),
Anyway I was in the queue to speak to No7 SA and there was a lady buying some stuff with her No7 voucher, 1 product was £10.xx and the other £13.xx and she passed the SA her No7 £5 off voucher, wanted to dig the woman to tell her she should have put a GWP through then given the £5.00 off voucher, anyway her shopping came to approx £18.00 after £5.00 voucher removed so the SA said if you purchase something else you will be eligible for the GWP, at this stage.... I butted in and pointed out that had the customer put the GWP through prior to handing in the £5 off voucher she could have got the GWP without any further purchase as her goods had infact breached the £20 threshold, well the SA told me I was talking absoloute rubbish !!!!! As the transaction had not been completed could she not void the items off and purely try for the customer ?...... well the look of horror on her face was a picture and she assured me she was correct and would not check for the customer.
I even felt like the poor customer didn't believe me either!!!! Any way she would not try... I cannot undersatand why it is not as if the GWP would come out of her wages. Anyway by this stage the SA was furious you could even see her face red under her makeup LOL and I got a big fat no to the answer to my question !! Never mind

BTW I know that there is some sort of non refund on No7 cosmetic products but I am not sure what it is ~ I can see online it is if it has not been opened and in original packaging which it is... does anyone know if I can exchange ? Trouble is that I daren't ask that SA so would have to go to another store? It is the illuminating lotion but wanted to exchange for the ltd edition one?

    :A

I'm all for a bargain and love glitches but taking the"free" items back for a refund is plain wrong. Whilst this is a money saving site, its about taking advantage of loopholes etc not blatant theft.

This thread is one of my favourites, it gives advice, reviews, makes me smile and has a good feel about it- things like this spoil it. Can we not stick to the offers and glitches and leave the theft aspect out of it?

Probably get shot down now, but we are all entitled to an opinion. I thought it was funny last night reading about all the highlighters but it doesnt seem like that now.

So would you say that people lying to get in parenting club is ok? Could that not be construed as fraud? Theres no theft aspect to this as you claim. We all take advantage of Boots policies be that right or wrong.

Like I said a glitch is a glitch and great if you get a bargain from it. Suggesting that the highlighters are returned for a cash refund in my opinion is theft
Your opinion is factually incorrect though. It's also fairly offensive to call people thieves when they're not.
As for the soapbox, sorry but you dont own this thread or site.
And neither do you! So what's with the attitude?
This thread was always so different from the rest and thats why a lot of us are drawn to it, its a bit more personal, people swap vouchers etc and now its getting tainted or those that dont agree with the majority get put down in the hope we will go away quietly.
I don't check the thread often enough to notice whether it's that cliquey, so can't give an opinion on that, but a general observation of MSE is that anyone who seems to adopt a moral high ground (such as labelling others as thieves) will invariably get "put down". :)

Thanks to all replies about the Olay hand cream. Not sure I can afford it at the mo but will keep my vouchers for a while.

Do you think the cotton wool glitch on the large roll will also work in-store?

I know a few people who are having babies in March and am thinking about putting together some hampers - still have talc from a tesco points blitz. Can also use the free Huggies vouchers from pregnancy magazine and I'm half way there.

    Hi everyone

Not wishing to jump into the discussions and differences of opinions but perhaps we can put all this to one side now before thread get wrapped on the knuckles.

Each person will percieve the rights or wrongs of a glitch and the benefits they can get from it differently to others. If they are comfortable with what they are doing then why should it bother or upset anyone else - we don't know them apart from this cyber world we are in

I have numerous virtual babies...and this is as far as I feel comfortable with pushing my luck. However each to their own.

Hope you all don't mind me saying....can we please move on with Boosting now?
