I drink a lot!! And I gave up trying to have a 'perfect' house.. acceptable is more my level.. you know the state where environmental health don't want us evicting!

Ok.. my temper once riled (which takes a fair bit!!) is so horrendous and destructive noone dare invoke the wrath.. they aren't too bad most days... or else!!
Pigpen do you come from a big family?

I was an only child until I was 8.

  •

Have to say my living is always a state if the children are home. When we go out I ask (shout) for DS to tidy so I know that the house doesn't look as bad when I get home :D

Right. I've got no excuse. The children are back at school today and the house is really in need of some help. This week I'm going to try, I really am. Promise :rotfl:

[strike]Check fire alarms are working[/strike] Did that on Saturday when I accidentally set them off :rotfl: Mind you it frightened the lo (age 3) out of her wits.
[strike]Fling open that window and blow those cobwebs out!! Air the room!!! Nothing worse than a bedroom smelling of parps![/strike] In our old house I used to do this every day. Unfortunately this house is so draughty I've had to tape the windows closed to stop the draughts coming in!!
[strike]Remove and wash bed linen.[/strike] I do all my bedding on Fridays, so if it's OK I'll keep this till then!
    Level 2
Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen.. I'll try and remember that on Friday.
30 minutes floor clearance.. that includes floordrobe and junk! OK. As soon as I've posted Ill go and do this.
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing Can do. In fact I need to shampoo the awful carpets (there aren't many of them though. Mostly bare floorboards which is probably why the house is always cold)
Sort 10 things from a wardrobe/chest of drawers that you can get rid of... and a pair of shoes only counts as one thing! likewise socks!.. and it is time those knickers you have had for 37 years were binned.. let hem go liberate yourself!! I can't get rid of 10 things because I won't have anything left! But I do desperately need new knickers. Will write that on my shopping list for later in the week.
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs... Right I'll go and do that.

    • Wipe down the skirting in the bedroom and on the landing. Oh good. I was planning on doing this today anyway.
Gosh. This Flylady doesn't look too difficult. For some reason I'm in a "cleaning" type of mood today, so I'd best crack on before the mood escapes me! Will check in later on and tell you if I managed it all.
