Brrrrrrrr!!!! Hello everyone. Was just under -5 when I went out this morning, blimey, definately could feel it. All out of the house stuff is now done, hair cuts done and it was loads easier going twice as the boys reacted a little less so think I will do that in future. Pet foods bought, mooch into the charity shop for videos to keep DSs entertained a bit when it's too cold to play out and books for DP. Other supplies got.

That Doves Farm wholemeal strong flour is also only 60p in Sainsburys, so I'm thinking must be the same in every store, just got one this time

Doing my bed in a mo, will use the other linen as I'll never get it all dry by tonight, did my kitchen on Monday so just a wipe over in there, oh and get the ick off the oven (no idea what I've spilt since Monday but it doesn't look nice) then that is done. DS2s football is still on tonight I think so will get to stand in below freezing temperatures, oh joy!
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • Hey everyone, hope you are all having a good afternoon.

ok I managed in no particular order to:

Sweep and mop kitchen and utility,
Clean and shine 5 stools (left no 6 so that I can tell which one needs to be disposed of - it is very wobbly)
Out to supermarket, got rid of recycling at same time, filled DH's car, Put stuff in boot for charity shop tomorrow - half day today.
    Wiped counters.
Just finished sorting kids supper for mum to dish up to them when they get back.
    Off to get DH :D
Dining room looks fine - hoovered yesterday so kinda on track - well almost :rotfl:

and parcel collected too - so one less thing to worry about!

Pigpen - too much information about your nipples thankyou very much. At least mine are the feathered variety! Don't even go there!

Dusty - i've set my DS the task of finding the coot's feet in the book. He thinks i'm a bit mad.

Pigpen - the course is my advanced training so I can give treatments to people who are terminally ill. I love the courses but the course booklet goes from treating us like we're totally thick to treating us as though we have degrees in human biology. Thank goodness for the internet! Mind you, before I started flying i'd have sat around in a stinky, messy house and left the studying till the last day. Now i'm much more organised and it only took me three days to find the book I have to complete! In my study breaks i'm doing your fabulous lists too. Where's me halo! If I'm nice to you will tomorrow's list be shorter?

Whitening Wednesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floors
Sort & clean fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean out the cupboard full of pasta and packets and pickles..
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..

    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • 29 fling boogie.. GO!
    I also need to;
    - study for two hours
    - walk dog
    - 5mGC
    - watch birdies for half an hour whilst contemplating all the things i've not done
    - put dry clothes away
    - wash bedclothes off one of children's beds
    - sort out scottish national costume for DD (will a kilt and scotland fleece do?)
    - clean out cat poop tray
    - fill up bird feeders
    - go through both children's wardrobes to check what fits them
    - declutter bedroom

All i've got left to do is cupboard doors, packets etc in cupboard and declutter bedroom. I'm going to do another page in the book then i'll do the cupboard and the cupboard doors. What an exciting life I lead!

and I trapped my finger in the door and broke my nail.. ggrrrr... why it is not Friday tomorrow? And I HATE Wednesday.. I have 4 school runs which is fine in summer.. but it isn't summer is it???

I have also decided after the summer half term I am going to pay the £7 a day for Tiddles to stay for the afternoon session at nursery.. only one day a week.. I think I deserve a whole day once a week don't you??? (Only so I can go lounge in a pub beer garden for 4 hours!! lol)

  • Just caught up with the thread over my 2nd cuppa since coming home from work.

Wed mornings the fire alarm is tested, only this morning they couldn't switch it off so we were all evacuated from the office and had to stand around in a car park freezing to bits until they sent us away for an hour whilst it got sorted. Made use of the time and went to Woolies and bought the rest of the Easter eggs I needed whilst they are still on offer there at £1 each.

So no cleaning done, but will set to as soon as I have typed this.

DH has hoovered the downstairs of the house today so after cleaning the kitchen I can wash the floors, lucky me!

DH has just text to say he's arrived at his mum's to collect DS and found him curled up under a blanket on the sofa feeling poorly with a bit of a temperature. Thankfully he'll be home in an hour and a half for lots of cuddles.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.
