gunsandbanjos I havent had eggy bread for ages. Given me an idea for my tea.

Mudbath I love watching the birds at work. We have several bird tables so the clients can see the birds from their rooms. With it being so cold I will keep an eye out for the fox tonight when Im night shift. He will be on the prowl for food. Lots of red squirrels around as well.

Whitening Wednesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floors
Sort & clean fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
[STRIKE]Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary) [/STRIKE] I do this after every meal as the table is used for all sorts of things.
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
[STRIKE]Clean out the cupboard full of pasta and packets and pickles.. [/STRIKE] I did this a couple of weeks ago when we moved in so it should be OK for now.
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
[STRIKE]Check those filters and drawers for ickiness, gackiness and fluff!![/STRIKE] Dryer is de-fluffed every time I empty it. The washing machine drawer isn't used (except for the fabric conditioner). I put the powder straight into the wash so it all gets used.
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • [STRIKE]Clean oven if it really needs it.. or just do the hob or a knob!!.. mines gross.. you need to shame me into cleaning it![/STRIKE] At the risk of sounding smug, I recently started to give mine a clean after every use. Mind you as we are vegetarians the oven doesn't get all that dirty - a quick wipe usually does it.
    • 29 fling boogie.. GO!
    • [STRIKE]Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET[/STRIKE] Did it the other day - something yucky had leaked!
I went to town today as I had to swap the vegetable racks I bought the other day (a bit missing) and the weathershield for the buggy (wrong one bought). While there I popped into Peacocks and found the most fantastic dress! It was reduced from £18 to £10, and as they only had one in my size I just had to buy it! I texted my DH and he was shocked - he's only been trying to get me to buy myself some clothes for years :rotfl: Like most mums, if there's any money available the children always need something more urgently.

I also completed one of the tasks from Monday - and bought myself some much needed new knickers :rotfl:

Right, as soon as Doctors has finished I'm off to tackle the kitchen (the floor really needs a mop) . Easyish dinner tonight - eggs, beans and homemade oven chips (I want to use the new vinegar bottle I got the other day - it's in the shape of a lightbulb!)

  • Afternoon everyone.

Pigpen, I would feed my dd2 anything if it meant she ate something!!! Not as bad as she used to be, I've decided she is just lazy!!! It amazes me some days how she survives.

I've had a fairly good day today. Cleaned all kitchen except floor and oven. Promised dd1 to do cooking with her after school, dd2 sleeping at nan's tonight so just the 2 of us. Will clean oven after once cooled.
Now going upstairs to do bathroom after taking dd2 to school(nursery) and having a peaceful coffee catching up on here. Try to do comp area as well before picking up girls from school.
Will report back later as feeling very sure of myself today!!!!
Need to sort my life out! :T
  • Gunsandbanjos - hope you're feeling much better today. I sympathise. DS is very good at head massage, but I also find a wheat bag helpful or Olbas oil, (but don't by that. Superdrug own inhalant oil exactly the same ingredients, I'm sad enough to check, and much cheaper. I put it on temples and back of neck.

Mudbath - way to go! Supernanny eat your heart out. That made me chuckle so much. (Also please can I post my head too?)

    JillD - :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

This might sound disgusting but, you reminded me when talking about getting blamed for things. DH was getting ready for yet another weekend with cadets when he came down and said he's taken a jumper out of the wardrobe and it had a little pile of poo on it. I said he must have left the door open, and he started off on one about how "everything's always my fault". I calmly turned and said to DS "Have you done a poo in your Dad's wardrobe" at whihc he and I both cracked up, which didn't help. I said "Well I didn't either, so if you left the door open and the cats went in, I would say it's definitely your fault!" We then fell about in hysterics and he stomped off to finish packing and put said jumper in the laundry, having thoughtfully disposed of the poo! Men!

My Thanks button's not working properly!

OK. Caught up on the goss, no got to go and make late lunch for DS and me (he starves when I'm working out obviously) and then more work. Maybe later. Don't work too hard without me. (I hate not having my laptop!)

I've had a couple that I swore survived on fingernail dirt, bogies and fluff!!!

I decided not to play to their whims and slop food on the plate.. eat or starve often rings through the house!.. I am not averse to blackmail, bribery or sheer lies to make them eat.. all meat is chicken.. all veggies make you trump and fruit either stops the boys kissing you or makes them kiss you.. depending on gender and child!! Hey.. works for us!

Mudbath.. I've done NOTHING!!!!! absolutely nothing all day.. I've had loads of tea though.. shall I make you one?? :coffee: I can do the kitchen in the 15 minutes while dinner cooks tonight! It doesn't take ME all day *tosses hair*
