  • Evening all. Not a bad day, all in all, but a major catastrophe a little while ago - my laptop's broken:cry:. The screen's damaged. :eek:I have to see if I can find the receipt because I think it's still under warranty, but if not, I'll claim on insurance.

Soappie - glad you're feeling a bit better. Steam inhalation is good for the sinuses, just a bowl and a towel over your head will do, but you can add stuff like eucalyptus oil, if you like!

    Boddy -
so sorry about your Mum (lost mine last May, so fully understand your situation). Glad you've had the injuries documented, but make sure that anyone visiting is observant. Please remember you can request to see her Care Plan at any time and if you are at all concerned, please don't hesitate to contact CSCI. They would prefer to investigate and find nothing than the other!

    Pigpen -

I'm evil, I threw a cushion at him, then watched Eastenders and ate ice cream.

Wrote a cheeky message to an ebay seller, I bought nail stuff on the 10th and it's not arrived, so I emailed them a few days ago asking if it's been dispatched, no reply, so I have said reply or as soon as I can I will mark it not dispatched, take action and leave feedback detailing the terrible communication.

You may tell that I jump in head first. No nicely nicely with me.

And I emailed Quidco about the Debenhams voucher too.

Oh did I mention I got new boots today? :j

wait till day 3, the extra oxygen in your blood makes you a little bit high!!! wheeee!!!!!!!
  • Evening everyone.

Thought i would do a quick pop in as i am not too busy this evening, mainly as the student teacher is teaching 2 of my three lessons tomorrow, so sod it, i am having most of the evening off. Also thought i should let you all know that my test results came back, and i am not anaemic, so i just am knackered then.

I have skim read the thread quickly.

ashbart and galantv4 well done with the smoking. I also did cold turkey round about 8 years ago now, and it was the best thing i ever did. I honestly think i would be sick if i smoked now, and would certainly have had to give up this pregnancy as it literally makes me gag at the moment.

wilkos league girls well done. What did we win again? Wasn't it vouchers? And if that is the case, i don't think lil-me needs to buy anything from there till next xmas by the sounds of it.

    Wave to everyone.

I've had a stressful day today - lots of run ins with argumentative kids. I had to laugh though at one girl who said - i don't believe you, have you heard yourself? When the class turned round and said -yes - think she did. She said it didn't she. And one kid who said, Miss - if you shout, it will upset your baby. Then proceeded to tell me that i should be playing music to the baby to make it intelligent. I had to point out to her, it was likely to be a scientific genius as it listened to all my lessons all day every day, and she was soothed. I'll not mention it gets plonked in front of barney and home and away of an evening. :rotfl:

    Achieved some things today:
    • washed DS's wet bedding this morning before work, and DH hung it up for me
    • rang up for test results
    • printed out worksheets for y9 lesson, and h/w sheet for y10s
    • taught 3 lessons
    • put my two schemes of work back on the school computer system
    • ate lots of caramel slices kindly made by one of my male colleagues
    • got school holiday dates off LEA website for next academic year, so i could
    • fill in my maternity leave application form finally so i can get it sent off tomorrow when i have all that free time - only just making my 28 day deadline
    • tidied up my room - determined to keep on top of it so i don't need to go in once i break up for Easter - did i mention 23 days and counting :T
    • found out what level of exam my y10s are entered for
    • discussed with teacher covering my maternity leave what she wants to do about handover.
    • had a lovely time playing with charlie this evening - he was sat rubbing my belly going 'hi baby'. Anyone any idea if this might mean he understands he is getting a baby at 16 months old  I know he knows what a baby is as he says it when pointing at pictures of them in magazines, and at nursery.
    • cooked a stir fry for dinner.
    • tidied up toys after bed time
I was going to try and do a bit more this evening, but i had a bit of a dizzy turn while DS was in the bath, i think because i was leant on the bump quite heavily.

Think it is time for a bath here, and then an early night ;)

    Will see you all later,
    Michelle, x
