I always feel like that! Once I've gotten started, I'm can just get on with it, it's just deciding where to start that's difficult!
Just up from my sleep so am procrastinating again... ok I'm going to the library now!Total abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. In my passion for it I even carry it so far as to totally abstain from total abstinence itself. Oscar Wilde0 -
ive also discovered the joys of classical music again. i cant really sing along to it (though i do try at times
), but its nice to have something in the background

What is everyone's subject? Mine's history.
Ferris - aghh! I would never have the guts to tell my supervisor if I was that late doing it!
Oh and can anyone help me with getting up early, especially on the days when I don't have to be in uni? I have nothing at all so far today! :eek:Student MoneySaving Club member 017!0 -

its funny, but whilst the task ahead of me is daunting because ive left it late to start  i feel more motivated now because i have a much better idea of what i need to do next than i did a few hours ago.

I'm doing Biomedical Science, my dissertation is on neurodegenerative disorders and the use of animal models. Bit of a mouthful!
I've got a 9am lecture every morning so I'm up early everyday, but on the weekends I find it helps to be realistic! There's no way in hell I'll be out of bed at 8am unless I have to, so I set my alarm for 10am, snooze a few times and am at the library by midday. You just have be prepared to work later if you want to sleep later
I'm currently helping one of my flatmates work, she's an awful procrastinator so I'm dragging her to the library everytime I go. Or trying anyway  Have you got a friend who can do the same for you?Total abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. One of my friends is at the library now actually, I think I will go up for a bit to prepare for the seminar tomorrow.
When i'm up at uni for lectures/seminars which is 3 days a week, i'm not too bad going to the library, we normally go after the seminar etc and stay for a few hours, it's when I don't have to be up there for a seminar.
Yeah that is a good point about being realistic. However, I am talking about the 2 days during the week when I don't have to be up at uni, I think I should be getting up early then, I can have my lie-in's at the weekend! On my days in uni, 2 days is at 11am and the other is 3pm, so still not that early really!
I have too much clutter in my room, I don't know how everyone else seems to have nice tidy rooms, everything I look at I think, I need that or if I put it in a pile of things to get rid of, ie, sell or give away I never get round to it!
Sorry i've gone off on a bit of a tangent here, but it's all related!Student MoneySaving Club member 017!0 -
ames i know what you mean about clutter. we're living with OH's parents, and my 'study' is in our bedroom, so i have everyday life clutter and a sleeping boyfriend to contend with half the time, as well as the mountains of paper where my desk once used to be
i quite often tidy on my breaks, because i find having a clear environment so therapeutic!
my degree is in welsh, and my dissertation is investigating the attitudes of second language learners to fluency and bilingualism. i really do have to get moving with it all, because i need to do my field research at end of feb/marchknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

Gawd.....I need to put my proposal form in by next week! Not looking forward to even completing that...luckily have the majority of my literature review done (comes partially from a prior assignment) but I think I'll have to be a bit of little and often....really wanted to graduate this year but think completing it by the end of next month will be a killer with a F/T job!!!0
