My son often takes leftovers for lunch at work. While clearing up yesterday I came across an empty Sainsbury`s silver herb container.

Now washed out- it makes an ideal container for grated Parmesan/Cheddar with the added benefit of controlling the flow with a 2 - sided lid! Think it would be great to take on picnics too!

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but to save time with scrubbing, line your grill pan with aluminium foil. Depending on the size of your pan, you may not need to wash it after you use it. Even if the grease/fat gets underneath the foil, it won't be baked on, so spoon out the fat once it's cooled and it will still be easier to clean.
