The loss would be the cost of getting a replacement ticket - i.e. a smaller admin fee and not the £700 IMHO0

hi i know this may be irrelevant.i had posted a dvd to a friend on 6/02/08 via standard second class mail(no extras). I had put the sender address on back to but as to this day my friend has not received the item. I hvae not contacted RM or anything but just told her to wait and if she doesnt receive then just leave it (as i never paid extra for rec delivery etc).
Any suggestions,ideas...
TIA to all MSErs

Standard post is covered up to about £30 anyway, without additional insurance, although it is easier to make a claim if it was tracked, or a cert of postage is available0 -
the compo value on standard mail is always 100 xthe price of a 1st class stamp at the time.
so £34 just now0 -

It's insured against loss - your item was not lost, just delayed.
Consequential loss is an extra that is purchased at the time of posting - forget how much, maybe £1??0 -

Get a claim form from your PO, fill it in as best you can (even if you omit some sections) and send it off. You'll probably get a book of 12 first class stamps along with a pro forma letter of 'apology'.0 -
