    i will be 49 as im just remortgaging over a 15 year term, hopefully i will be able to knock 2 or 3 years off this with overpayments?
    i owe 57k now, £455 per month over 15 years.........wish i could win the lotto to pay it off, but im not that lucky !!!!!!!!!!!

    sadly by the time i am 50...am 32yrs now!!!! Unless anything drastic happens that is!
    Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
    Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞

    Well I think I will be the oldest, I will be 63 and my DH will be 68. 22 years to go, had a mortgage for 20 years previously. I will have to stop extending it.

    Just started overpaying it now by £20 per month.

    37 now, same for the mrs.

    Lots of variables before then.... like poss 2 starting uni so will have to see how overpayments hold up in 18 months time when first one would be due to go.

    I'm 25 now and OH 22. Hopefully be MF when i'm 36 and she 33. Long, long, long way to go though. £104000 :eek:
  • I'm currently 38. Want to clear mortgage by 12/12/12 which will mean I'll finally be mortgage free aged 42. :D

    I am hoping to clear the mortgage by the time I am 42, that is the plan anyway, I am 35 now with about £70K to pay off. Could achieve a quicker result if my wife goes back to work f/t sooner than she planned - currently on maternity leave, and the plan is not to return to work for maybe 3 years.

  • I was hoping to pay it off before I was 40(34 now),but I will probably by 44 and OH will be 49.
    Unless I win the lottery of have a massive pay rise lol.
