It’s an idea. I’ve had eBay items turn up with complimentary things. I’ve had sweets. Stuff that could best be described as over-sized glitter – a bit like shaped sequins – stars, moons and things. Apart from health and safety and the Royal Mail getting in the way, I can’t see why a complimentary sachet of blood wouldn’t induce your buyers to give you a solid five out of five for P&P.

Maybe you should try it.

Unfortunately eBay seems to think that the DSRs solve all their problems by weeding out the bad sellers. That might be true if all buyers used the system properly, but of course they've not been educated how to. There's also the mentality that an eBay transaction with ANY seller is just like using any online shop. No community values, no comback from their complaints. Thus postage at cost or less gets you less than 5/5.

And if like me, you only sell occasionally, that really hurts your ratings.
  • Because ebay is ebay.... I have seen people who ONLY charge free postage that only have 4.8 stars etc for postage... funny really

I'm one of these.Have been marked down for speed of despatch too,and we post daily without waiting for cheque clearance.
