I keep eggs, potatoes, onions, garlic and bananas in the pantry.
In the fridge currently:
milk,
Cheddar,
Brie,
Philadelphia,
all my opened jars of jam, marmalade, pickle, chutney, mustard, capers, gherkins, sauce, mayo etc
cottage cheese,
plain yogurt,
bowl of chicken fat,
butter,
Flora (for baking),
lard,
coconut cream,
cream,
carton of stewed rhubarb (for my morning oats)
dog food,
lemon juice,
bowl of beetroot cooked with apple,
carrots,
pears,
cabbage,
celery,
tomatoes,
spring onions,
chili peppers,
defrosting gammon steak.
Even with all that I frequently think "I fancy something niiiiiice", go to the fridge and think "nothing I fancy there". This is because I don't buy stuff to snack or nibble on.
However even if I did buy things to nibble I still wouldn't have any in the fridge because I'd have nibbled it and it would be gone.0 -

Not much to actually eat though...People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

If its snacks well I really try to discourage this in our house, mainly because it costs a fortune! Maybe if he has got a big appetite you could look on here for some ideas for cheap, healthish snacks that you could make yourself.
My sister always seems to have loads of food in her fridge, it always looks really interesting. I think she shops nearly every day so keeps a lot of fresh stuff in. I tend to freeze everything and only take things out of the freezer when I need them.
My fridge would normally contain: cooked meat for sandwiches, spread, cheese, yoghurts, baking margarine, milk, salad and veg, some fruit, pickles and chutneys and maybe some fruit juice and some bacon. Thats about it.
Interesting thread though, looking forward to hearing what other people have in their fridges!
thank you everyone for all the replies, much appriciated, very interesting to read from others, i dont have many people to compare to!
im wanting to know whats he is expecting to find in there too! lol honestly driving me mad!
i cook all meals so its not like hes looking for ingredients, he doesnt like snack type stuff thats why its not in the fridge,
i make all kinds of things to fill him up, he`s very funny about smells and has lots of things he`s not keen on,
im going to get lots of fruit for him to snack on,
its hard for me to shop every day, we like that food at tesco and our local one is 10mile away, im trying once a week,
will drag him round tesco tomorrow,
thank you for all your replys
