Hiya
Any thoughts on a cheap laptop that will only really be used for web surfing. I have a PC for most needs but I am looking for something to use around the house, in the garden etc as I have 2 small boys to watch over!!
Any thoughts on what sort of spec laptop would be sufficient?
Thanks
Emma

Any modern basic laptop will be fine, get at least 1Gb of RAM though.

What about the award winning asus EEE? This is a ultra portable 7' screened laptop designed for web browsing and email. It's wireless compatable. There's 2 versions at the moment - 2gb version for £169 and a 2gb for £220.

Hi- can anyone advise on the cheapest place to buy the eee at the moment? I have spent a while searching and have found the 2gb version for 199 on BT's website, but the 4gb version seems to be out of stock everywhere.
I would prefer to go for the 4gb version if I can find it for under 200, or would settle for the 2gb version if anyone knows where to get it cheaper than 199!
many thanks!:j0 -
Try here http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/ they've also some sub £300 laptops too.0

I vote for this one if still avail at £250 with the promo code:

it would knock the Morgan offer into a cocked hat
I own one of these models (cost over £300) and the inbuilt wifi locks on very well.0 -
