These suggestions are great, but really, can't you get a part time cleaning job or something and give your kids a Christmas to remember? They're only young once.

I should imagine that a lot of people that don't work - like myself -are unable to do so for a reason. My reason is i have 2 young kids, one at home,one at school and i don't have anyone able to help me with childcare whilst i work. This reason does not dissappear just cos it's christmas.

Hi i have been with shanzdad' for 6 years and i can fairly say that i am stuck for ideas i normally come up with little things that i think he will like and will be special but as the years go by i get stuck for things.
this year i have one big prezzie for him and i am really into the stocking idea i have got a cd but thats where i get stuck can't think won't think!!
any suggestions please. ???

Until 19/12 Staples are giving 25% off ALL pens etc. I know it included highlighter pens, I think it included pretty much anything you write with! I know there is a cost in this, but some of their pens are VERY reasonably priced to start with.

AND they have biros with a light in them priced at 99p (they are in the Hawkin catalogue for £2.99) which I actually got for 66p!

Staples have recently taken over Office World and I think Neat Ideas, so if you think you had one of them near you it should now be a Staples!

Thanks guys.  Hawkins Bazaar is excellent.  Ordered loads of musical instruments for my daughter on Sunday.  They turned up today.  I'm very impressed! ;D

I got one of these from sainsbury's & the money went to a charity for children who had been abused! They cost the same (1.50 which is what you're charged on ebay including postage) & its far more worthwhile helping kids in need if you can.

All these ideas are great  :D-  I've  found this item on ebay Smiley Trolley/Locker coins this is a keyring with a coin that can be detached and used instead of a £1.00 coin they can be also used for the gym, swimming pool,school,football, left luggage lockers. I have brought one for all the family they are great.

If you've got family that live a fair distance away and you see them on Xmas eve - exchange presents, then the ones you get that you dont need - re wrap and give away a day later once you return home!
