So many deals, and so many conditions, im a bit lost. can anyone tell me what the best deal is?
i know you can get a three dongle for £4.99, but what about the provider? who can give me the most for the least? i already get 500mb from orange on my phone contract but my phone is pretty useless for internet usage.
budget: £10/month, no contract.
I made the mistake of buying a 3 dongle at home its rubbish where i live is next to trees , mind you so's the mobile ( orange ) however we have had visitors on vodaphone whom have been great , Only went with 3 as they where the only guys doing it but plan to change to vodaphone0 -
Dom, it is £5 per month: the £120 paid in advance is expected to last me two years.
I committed myself to this after trying 3g and being very happy with it. You can get a 3month/3gb prepaid dongle for £39.99.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Hi - I noticed on Martin's site that is says u can get £29 cashback on O2 and £15 top-up meaning it is effectively free.Eh, but no - i went through both the Quidco and Top Cahs back sites and both are only offering £15 cash back, meaning u still have to pay for the dingle dongle.
Am I correct or going crazy? shouldnt this be updated then on Martin's site?
Do u agree it is still a good deal soe somebody who only needs to use it when away on holiday and not have to rely on wireless (and already has broadband at home)
Better check coverage as well.
How long does it take to get the dongle (I am going a week on Friday)
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!:rotfl:0 -
Has anyone else had problems cancelling three broadband? My daughter has been trying to cancel for 3 months before she went to the US. She tried the shop, tried phoning and email. She's now in the US and faces a huge call to try again to cancel as they won't speak to me (data protection) - she's tried to send details but keeps getting generic emails. Any advice gratefully received from a newbie!0

On what basis is she wanting to cancel? Cancelling is straighforward enough, but if she's still in contract then there will be a termination fee equal to the payments due to the end of the minimum term.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thanks for your reply.
She's had problems because the 3 shop told her to email and the generically returned email told her to phone and when she phoned she was on hold for so long she had to hang up. She doesn't want to telephone from the states at 90p a minute, so has been trying to email, but keeps getting generic replies. She's tried to add me as a third party, but because she's not getiing a reply from a real person, nothing has been done.
I just wondered if this was a general problem, as when I have spoken to them, they haven't been helpful at all.0 -
Because my daughter and her partner use mobile phones they do not have a landline and have no intention of getting one installed. So my grandson comes to my house to stay at the weekend to use the internet.
However this is now not good enough for him as he wants internet access through the week as well.
So his solution is to come and stay with his granny all the time
Yeh! that will be right:rotfl:
So I said I would pay for mobile internet. What sort of costs am I looking at and is one network better than another. And would PAYGO or contract be better?

They work just like a mobile phone.
Expensive compared to landline based broadband deals. Speed will vary a LOT & data useage may well be fixed.
1 gigbyte a month on some packages, Thats fine for general web use but if they start to watch video clips that will soon get used up & taking you over the limit with an excess charge. They could easily be double or triple your monthly charge.
Your location will decide your final choice, I looked into getting a BB dongle whilst on holiday in cornwall, But most sites i checked for coverage said they would not recommend their network for that area.0 -
