Tesco Clubcard change in Ts & Cs: Vouchers no longer transferable from 1 May '08

My sister gave me some of her clubcard vouchers sometime ago and I tried to spend them, long with some of mine, just last week - although the transaction went through ok I later got an email telling me I couldn't use vouchers in someone else's name. I think its been that way for a while.
Maybe what these new t&c's are about is that when you redeem your deal, say at hotel, park, wherever, you will have to have your storecard with you to prove ownership???Stop looking for answers....
The most you can hope for are clues.....:)0 -

The same should apply to you, unless you've just received one in the last week or two. Hopefully that will tip you over the threshold!
Thanks - sadly I received mine today!0 -
with regards to the different people on the same account, you can have lots of clubcards (with different numbers) all registered to one account, you get only one mailshot with one name on it, and that is fine as long as the person who is named on the mailshot account applies for the vouchers.
The person who got married should be OK as the account number will be the same. If they query it then you would have to ask them to cancel the ones with the maiden name on and reissue them with the new surname on.
I have two different clubcard accounts (one normal one, one attached to my credit card) and I assume I will still be able to use these together when applying for deals.
What they are clamping down on is the "selling them over ebay" bit whereby people are using lots of different surnames together. The idea is that they are only to be used by the person collecting the points.Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -

This has got me so confused, it doesn't take much
We have just started to collect points and we have 4 accounts, myself, my husband, and 2 daughters, who all shop at Tesco. We all have the same surname, but we have our own cards/accounts.
We were hoping to save enough points to go on holiday next year, but my daughters won't be coming, just myself and my husband. Will we be ok with each others vouchers? Or do we need to convert them into deals now?
Thank you for any help you can give me.0 -
I don't think this thread has helped!!!!!
Although it brings to our attention there might be A change - no one seems to know for sure exactly WHAT that change is and how it effects people's current situation (ie is it the same as the old rule about same surnames same households being fine or does this now change this)
As Martin (or MSE Natasha) posted this and obviously gleamed the information from somewhere, maybe they could consult their source and find out exactly what the implications are first? - before panic and confusion ensues!0 -

No, you don't need to merge the accounts together - holiday vouchers are issued with surname on so so long as you, hubby and daughters all have same surname you'll be able to use them all. If you also all live at the same address you will be able to convert them all together through one account.
Everyone should head over to paidtoshop.co.uk where you will find just about all the info you need!!0 -

It doesn't make any difference if their initial is on the voucher?0 -
Sorry if this is not the right place to post this, but if i gain points (myself only), and then get a voucher sent through the post (for example " you have a voucher woth £3 valid for three months). What happens if I don't spend the voucher?
Do I loose that money or does it keep adding on?0 -

If you mean the Clubcard point vouchers sent automatically every three months then these are valid for two years. You only get them sent once, they are not sent again.0
