  • We have just had a online banking message today to say that our new mortgage will be opened on monday 14th April (10 weeks to the day that we told FD that we wanted the product). The message was in response to one I sent them as I got fed up being on hold.

    :j :j
  • Got mine through today 12 Weeks after 1st approach . Went for the 5yr 4.99% which on reflection looks like a sweet deal now. Still weird though have a £100k overdraft on my internet banking though.

Must say though was very impressed with FD kept me up to date all the time and I loved the text messages at each step confirming what had happened.

Hope this helps people. FYI They got my legals back on the Friday and it was setup online in just under 1 week

well i rang f.d today, they have received the amended legal docs and all is ok now, just a case of waiting for them to complete/drawdown.

the lady on the phone said it was due to be completed 2 days ago but they didnt have the amended legal docs (so im guessing they allocate a drawdown date for each mortgage once they have everything)

i will let you know as soon as its all complete.

    good luck everyone.

question for those of you have completed the mortgage,

does the outstanding mortgage balance appear online please, and has anyone made an overpayment from there 1st account to the mortgage account yet please.
im wanting to know if i make an overpayment from the 1st account to the mortgage account, does the mortgage balance reflect the overpayment immediately?
