I agree - my postman is great. As has been said on here before if something isn't delivered you need to complain to RM - mail is handled by lots of people till it comes through our door. Thanks Sweety for putting your point of view.
On the good side too I got my james Bond stamps yesterday!!
Oh and just a reminder that the website is down this am between 9-12. Hope we see some improvements!Good Enough Club Member No 390 -
I forgot the site is supposed to be down today.
Just went and registered a recieved item with no problems.
Has it been sorted already? The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
Thanks for the replies folks - for the record most posties are as frustrated as any other member of joe public about the state of the service. The reason why mail is delivered much much later now is purely financial. There are not enough posties to cover each delivery round in most offices, hence a Manager from another area will be summoned to clear the delivery at a later time OR the round will be done by posties on Overtime, but obviously they have to complete their own delivery first!! Start times have been made later nationally due to posties getting £12 week for 5.00am start - start later and RM save this payment and the posties are £12 week worse off - hence the Strike action. Effectively posties are 10% worse off, and can anyone afford to lose this amount at the present time of rising inflation? Oh, a delivery is deemed to have been completed if first and second class dated items have been delivered - parcels are often the first things to be left when Managers from other offices are forced to take a delivery out!!
This is of course what allegedly happens, as im sure you all understand........

I think it's always a good sign when companies take less time than stated to do upgrades - shows they know what they are doing and maybe even factored in an extra couple of hours so as not to cause people too many unexpected problems if they ran over...
I think it's interesting that apart from one post I've seen on this now mammoth thread, only one person has actually noticed a real problem with items for the survey being posted (stamps stolen), I suppose this is telling us the postal system is working, but doesn't explain when other post is going missing (parcels/other things expected).
Oh, and is anyone else getting sent far too many Smart Returns Only envelopes? I'm getting two a week and haven't needed a single one yet!0 -
I just got all the smart stuff through the other day - jeez its complicated!!!!! I am a bit miffed actually as I put a 'holiday' in for last week and this week as i've been in hospital and they've still sent me stuff out.
Is it just me being confused with the smart's?? i've got 2 things to send but I'm not sure what I'm doing.......2010 - nothing as we emigrated to Australia!!! :j0 -
Polly - on your posting schedule it will say 'add smart' if you need to add one. It does seem confusing, but does get easier once you've done a few.
Also if you cant send something one week just send it the same day of the following week.
The other thing about smarts is you can check which you have in stock and it will tell you which to return to RI in the envelopes. I didn't realise this bit till I checked when I had about 7 in stock!Good Enough Club Member No 390 -
Im lucky if i have 1 smart in stock let alone 7 lol.0
