Polly - on your posting schedule it will say 'add smart' if you need to add one. It does seem confusing, but does get easier once you've done a few.

Also if you cant send something one week just send it the same day of the following week.

The other thing about smarts is you can check which you have in stock and it will tell you which to return to RI in the envelopes. I didn't realise this bit till I checked when I had about 7 in stock!

thanks for this - going to rope the hubby in too LOL

    Hi

If you have 7 smarts you need to send some back i normally keep 2 or 3 and send the rest in a smart return envelope.

  • Oh well i've had an email to say i'm not needed quite glad really as it was all a lot of hassle anyway
  • Hi all
I'm not quite sure where the best place to post this is, but as I know posties read this thread I'm hoping one will be able to help.
When I was quite little I collected stamps, and when the cost of postage went up you had to add a 1p / 2p stamp to the letter. Then we started having stamps saying 1st/2nd, that were the same colour as the corresponding stamp with a price on it.
I know that if you have a stamp saying '1st' it is still valid when the price of post goes up. But how long is it valid for? I've now got masses of pre-April first class gold cloured books of stamps. Can I still use them when I post things for ebay, and how much are they worth now? How long will I be able to use them for to put towards parcels - do I have to use them up within a short time?

Also, why are the books being sold now the same colour as they were three months ago - doesn't the colour reflect the price of the stamp any more???????????

    Yours in confusion

If the stamps have 1ST or 2ND on they are always valid on that postage regardless of the price increases.
But if they have 32p on then they would only be valid for 32p's worth.
