Thanks to everyone that replied to my question.

I did post it in the Post office box outside as I was in the area (2 miles away). I hope that it isnt like that every other week as I cannot guarantee to be at the box.

Question: How can I un-register a post box? . It will only allow me to add a box......

You cannot unregister a post box once you have entered it.

The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(

If you don't want to do the survey, contact them and tell them. The survey is not meant for people to get stamps or anything else for free, it is designed to help the post office and more importantly the general public get a better service from the post office and to weed out rouge posties who may tamper with your mail.

I agree with you. i only post where i can on the given day. I do not often post at the post office ones i registered (including sorting office) as they are not so convenient to drive to in the week and they havent complained yet.;)
Hope that helps any worried newer members :D

Why would you do this? Why not just register a postbox that's convenient to you in your postcode? I'm assuming that the reason they haven't complained as you put it is that they assume you are doing right by them and posting from the ones you registered! It's not like they have tracking on your mailboxes. When they receive mail that you're posting supposedly from your area, then they can say, "Ha! We've got that. Everything is working fine there" when that may not even be the reality. The point of the survey is to give you a better mail service in your area.

The reason i would do this at times is because i work in the week and therefore cannot always get to a post office during the dates/times stated. Circumstances can change over 7 months! Im not sure of the comment about ''they assume you are doing right by them and posting from the ones you registered'' as i am posting from the ones i registered! Each letter sent is logged on their website so they can see where i posted the letter, i am not lying to them as i am stating where i posted it and dont make up a postbox lol. And Secondly i do post in my area, thats the whole point.
All i was trying to say was i agreed with another poster that you will not get the sack if say, one day you cannot get to a post office or post at a certain time, as long as it is done on the same day and you are honest with your recordings on their website. :D

Hello, I'm a bit confused I guess as you said in the original post "I do not often post at the post office ones i registered" but in this one you say "i am posting from the ones i registered!" *LOL*

OK so my comment was directed to asking why you would post at another location which I assumed was NOT registered, but was convenient to you, but if IS registered in your profile that's fine of course! I just thought you were saying that it is OK to post whereever you are whether in your area or not, whenever you are free if you see what I mean.
Oh and P.S. It wasn't meant to be a chastisement of any sort btw, just a question. Hoping you didn't take it in any kind of negative way...:) as it wasn't meant as such
