When I first started listing on Amazon, I put in some old cookery books, thinking they will never sell, after all the charity shop is full of them!!!

However, today I did sell one about making curries. Just posting this as an encouragement to all you cookery book listers! Also will be making a profit of about £5 so though it is costing much to post, I am still better off.

Finding the postage is getting to be quite an outlay these days!!

    Blimey

    Whats going on............................

No posts for over 24 hours...........................

This is my favourite thread I like reading everyones bits of news.

Put another few books up for sale today, one of them, there were only 2 others available, both from the US and both used @ £52 odd anyway mine cost me 49p RRP £7.95 so I put it up for £24.99 lol see how it goes or not as the case may be.
In keeping with the weird and wacky it was a book on Radio Controlled Foam Models.
  • Blimey is the word indeed! - did I read that correctly?

    RADIO CONTROLLED FOAM MODELS?????

You've given me a brilliant idea, I think that we should all come and post what we think is our wierdest book subject (the book doesn't have to be named, just the subject matter), it might even turn into a contest of sorts.

I have to go to the Post Office now but when I get back I'm going to look at my list and see what I'm coming to this challenge with
  • I've sold a book about coal canals in somerset and a cook book with recipes to help candida. I also sold a book on anti capitalism, if only they knew that they were helping my capitalism by buying it!
  • ....and a book on marketing Judo.
  • Good start there Kaminari.

My offerings of weird and whacky Amazon items are:

A huge Japanese art book on clothes labels and tags

A handbook on blood transfusion medicine

A novelty book on therapy, it has press buttons at the side with the therapist's voice asking you questions, including ' how does that make you feel?' and 'would you like a tissue now?

I've saved the best till last - a bonsai potato kit, it has a 32 page instruction book, an altar for your potato and some trimmimg scissors

Well I am gobsmacked....after reading this thread I looked at a box of old books and saw a haynes manual for my old Rover 214 and after looking on Amazon saw a used 1 for sale for £8. Listed mine for £7.50 thinking it might go in a month or 2...only sold today! inside 24 hours! So thanks to all for the motivation!!
