Who loves TKMaxx

I have just realised that my life would be over if TKMaxx ever closed.
I sit here in my new airwalk trainers (£16.99) A Quicksilver t-shirt (£10) Levi loose fit jeans (with the nice stripy stonewash across the front)(£19.99) My Quicksilver bag (£15) and my Strellson Waterproof (£50, but these are normally £150)
Everything I have on came from TKMaxx, and I am not ashamed to admit it.
My favourite is finding something great in their double reduction clearance. Or when a colleague has an identical item and you say 'did you get that for £x' and they say 'no, it was a bit more than that......!'
Any other devotees?

Yep, I love TK Maxx too, the kids get some fab named jeans from there that I could never afford otherwise, hubby gets treated now and a gain too lol. Eldest daughter is a bit pickier @ 17 she thinks its all the old stock, so wont entertain it

Well, it IS generally the old stock. But that doesnt matter to me. Last years T-shirts are just as good as this years.
Sometimes things are only months old though - brands move on so quickly. GF bought some FCUK tops only weeks after her friend paid full price for them.
I also like browsing through by size (they put all the 'S' together) and the challenge and thrill of finding something good.0 -
But going through rows and rows of rubbish to get to the 1 or 2 worthwile items just annoys me. Plus as has already been said it is old stuff from last years connection on the whole. There are bargains to be had but you need to have a while looking for them0

Yep, we're fans too! We always look in the clearance section first! Ralph Lauren Jeans - £11, Fenn Wright Manson Top - £12, Salomon Trainers - £13, Kickers Mules £7 (Clearance). It gives me great satisfaction buying clothes at massively reduced prices, particularly when other people spend hundreds on their wardrobes!
And of course there's the household stuff - we've had a few bargains from there too.

Yea, I'm with you on that one, who cares if its not the very newest stock, if the price is right and it looks the part then thats what its all about, I'd rather pay £5 for a pair of designer kids jeans than the extortinate price they'd be in a different store. I beleive in money saving not money wasting

Ive only been in TKmaxx once as there isn't one near me but my OH got some nice things. Its a bit of a battle once you've found something to fnd it in the right size and matching shoes up is fun. Overall if there was one nearer I would shop there more often but only for the bargins as Primark is cheaper and when things are on offer in my local DP I can pick up jeans for £5-£10 and tops anywhere from £3.I remember when this was just a little website! :money:0

I lurrve TK Max for 1. their underwear - I get my Gossard bras there and they are such top quality and great variety/colours at knockdown prices. I got a bra there for £9.99 and the exact same thing (same size, colour, make etc) was in Morleys for £22!

2. Their shoes - All sorts of unusual styles, funky heels, allsorts. Men's shoes are great too. Sometimes if you have a tiny moan (nicely) to a member of staff about why one pair is £11.99 and the same pair just one size up is £29.99 he just might swap the prices over for you!
3. their homeware - we got some really nice cushions.
The only problem is that some of their stores are sooo untidy with clothes strewn everywhere and I've never seen a member of staff amongst the rails tidying up. They always seem to be by the changing rooms. The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0 -

Yes, but in TKMaxx the clothes are very good quality reduced to bargain prices. So for me, the comparison with primark is moot. The primark range isn't of any interest to me.PP_Ayla wrote:Its a bit of a battle once you've found something to fnd it in the right size
Our store arranges everything by size (eg all 28" waist jeans are together)- so you only have to look in the one section. This makes life very easy.0
