  • Aww hugs for you. What a tough time for all! Personally if you have money saved I would pay the debt off - your health is the main thing & if the debt is worrying you like this then stress wont help you physically. SPeak to your dad & see what he says...
As for the debts can you get a letter from your consultant confirming that you were hospitalised between x & x with a diagnosis? If so and the debts are settled then in the first instance I would write to the companies involved with a copy of the letter explaining & asking of, in the circumstances, they wil remove the negatives. If not then get a note put on. Someone will post on how - I'm unsure but know you can!
As others have suggested it would be a good idea to get in touch with CCCS for some advice - sometimes companies respond better to them than us mere mortals! They may be trying to pull a fast one if they debt is over 6 yrs old with no paperwork but someone more knowledgabe wil be along soon s I am unsure of the legalities.
Mainly bg hugs for you & hope that things look up soon!

  • I wish now it was all over..

I just had a good look at the print out of the credit report and realise that there is a £1680 debt to barclaycard that is not even mine it shows up on the report but I have just gone through the paperwork from the DCA and it is not even mentioned only the debt from the card I know about and an agreement to pay that debt. The date of the debt is 2007 it cant be mine because the card had already been stopped.
I have emailed Barclaycard but I think I had better put it in writing does anyone know who I should write to.
Im sorry to be such a nuisance but I feel so alone and overwhelmed.
  • I had a letter from experian they are going to word this report thing and attach it to my credit report.

I am a bit worried though..HS sent me a card today saying that the want to visit me ..
Why would they want to do that I am paying what the agreed payments are and sometimes extra, why do they want to come here..
I am away a lot of the day working ,the boys are here alone on half termI don't want anyone to frighten them or harrass them..
Why do you think they want to come??
Do I have to let them come in are they going to take stuff I thought they couldn't if I was paying please help

    Hi Honeyblade

I just wanted to say well done and good luck with the barclaycard letter.
  • If you google HS full name it reveals some interesting entries on them.

Personally i wouldn't let anyone into my home who I hadn't invited especially if I didn't know what their intentions were. Why can't they send you a letter? Do they want to appear more intimidating? Do they want you to sign/agree something whilst they are there? Do they want to see what you own? If it was me, i wouldn't see them alone, frankly I wouldn't see them - I'd ask them to correspond with you in writing instead.

However, I'm no expert, I don't know what to advise you but I would ask people on here for their advise.
  • Bump to see if anyone can advise honey
  • Hi Honeyblade,I work for Barclaycard and have read through your posts - I'm hoping I might be able to help you in some way, I've sent you a personal message. We can at least do some digging to try to get to the bottom of the debt showing on your credit report.ThanksSara
