EXCUSE ME?
A £12 "because we feel like it"...is there any reason given to attempt to justify that? Is that because they're not getting enough interest? For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -

Dont' know....I've never of that before.
That's worthy of its own thread...to see if it is a new trick they're throwing in...funny that it's £12 though...(OK not funny...odd)...can you put it up separately as it will get lost on here? For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... Ok will start new thread, i had a lurk on the cc board but no-one else seemed to have mentioned it, I just thought it was a worthy point as one poster was moving to a TSB cc ... out of the frying pan into the fire?, it was just a thought that0 -
If you can put it on the CC board then the experts there will see it more clearly...here it's way too busy!!
cheers

I too have had the letter stating my interest rate is going up from 17.9 - 34.5% from March (at the moment it's at 0%). luckily today I was able to ring up and pay off the full balance (all £6,650 of it!) so they won't be getting anything extra from me. I'm closing all my CCs now anyway but will be strongly recommending people don't go anywhere near Virgin as they've been the worst credit card I've ever had.LBM 1: May 06 - £16,900  . LBM 2: Jan 08 -£29,500
Debt now: £150 (at 0%).:j0 -

could not believe it , i have a balance of 3 grand which at the moment is on 0% untill June.
I phoned them to complain, girl was adamant she could not do anything and was quite rude. but i stood my ground and told her thatif she could not get someone who could help me i would close my account. she apparently went to speak to a manager and came back and said the would keep it at 17%. i know they will try it on again in a few months.
this is robbery and there is no way they are getting 35% out of me, whatever i have to do I will clear that balance.
I'm not very good at being rude on the phone...I really don't think they will budge with me. Should I try the asking for the manager tactic? Or a snotty letter - I'm better at those!!DMP with PayplanDMP Support number 287Trying to lose lbs and save £££s!0 -
Well after stressing all week I decided to try and ring again and they have lowered it to 26.9%. Still crap but better than 34.9!
They said that they review it quarterly so to call them back in a few months and hopefully they can lower it? Hopefully by then I will be able to get a new card/loan and get rid of them!!!DMP with PayplanDMP Support number 287Trying to lose lbs and save £££s!0 -

Had an email today from the Dogs Trust - I get their newsletters - saying they have a new credit card that benefits them with great offers too:
0% bt for 13 months
0% purchases for however long
Oh it's an MBNA card...
Don't do it!
Now they are trying to trap caring Dogs Trust supporters into their evil interest trap! Noo!!!DMP with PayplanDMP Support number 287Trying to lose lbs and save £££s!0 -
