Interesting to note that the email says:
"Hurry! Our current Fixed Rate Savings Account rates end soon
With many market commentators forecasting the Base Rate may continue to fall during 2008, why not take the opportunity to guarantee a fixed rate on your savings by opening an Icesave Fixed Rate Savings Account?"Stompa0 -
Have you tried clearing your cash?

I can confirm 100% that the rate will drop on 15/02 to 6.05!
Icesave have not loaded it up to the website yet but it is happening.
I spoke to ICESAVE a few minutes ago and was told that the staff have received an email today regarding the above.
I'm really surprised they have done this as the other Icelandic bank Kaupthing have just come into the market and offer 6.50%.0 -

Nlo, I haven't received an e-mail about the drop in interest rate either. Maybe it's taking them a while and they're e-mailing their customers in batches, possibly alphabetically ?0

I havent got the email either but I can see the rate change on their front page.0
