I just saw that on some leaflets got today. Commented to my hubby on hoe cheap it was, cos I bought loads of tins of red salmon when it was on offer at £1.
maybe if they put up a sign showing the mistake, as they have done, they are allowed to, as errors can be made; e.g. imagine if it advertised that a widescreen tv costing £2000 WAS £20.00, they couldn't seriously be expected to honour that could they?

Well I at LONG LAST found some of these today.

After Ds's football match (man of The Match AGAIN- proud mum lol!!)we called Tesco. (DS did some wombling and found me some receipts One with 100 pts!! 1 with 36 and various 10 to 20 pointers)
On the way in, I noticed a leaflet with some tesco pics on, in a trolley and discovered it was the 75% off one. However only the persil coupon was on it. Thats the main one I wanted though.
So, I went for a look on the persil aisle. No 3kg boxes there. Asked stacker if they had any as I had coupon. She said , there are only 2.85kg boxes.
I said, but the ticket for the non bio 2.85 box also says 3kg.
I've asked my manager and he says the coupon wont workk with these, she says.
I said, well, I'll try it and if it doesnt work they can take the persil off.

In same aisle were 3 woman looking for same thing. I said to one woman, "Where did you get the coupons from cos I've not seen any?"

The local free paper, one replies!! There were none in mine cos I read both of them!!
One lady says, I knocked at my next door neighbours, cos he doesnt shop in tesco, and he hadn't had one in his. But I managed to get one from the next door but one neighbour! lmao Woman after my own heart (Did contemplate telling her about this months P&B but decided against:rotfl: )

Anyway did my shopping, went to till, with some trepidation after reading recent "no coupons " thread on here.
Young man scanned the lot, including a £1 from todays Star and 2 x 25p from sun. The persil one scanned fine too.

While I was packing I noticed behind his till, about 4 of the said leaflets!!! "Could I have a couple of those please?" I asked. he handed me one. "Any chance of another?" I said. He duly obliged.
I said, "No wonder I can't find any if they're all stuck behind tills"
He said he'd never even seen em and didnt have a clue what they were!

Only 2, but 2 is better than none. I won't buy the robinsons juice anyway as it's full of chemicals, but will certainly buy the bread and the persil.
Thanks for the heads up on it scanning against ANY persil :T

Back off to tesco tomorrow methinks!

When you say any persil do you mean even persil liquid or just any powder?

This includes 2.85kg pack which scanned OK for me. Presume this has replaced the 3kg pack.

One of my local T's said "They don't do them 75% coupons at this store".

And in another store, the CS had never heard of them.

yeah, see my post above.

Shop assistant tried to make out the coupon wouldn't work against it, butit did.

Went to get 2 more yesterday; no persils in shop, and girl I spoke to said staff had been taking them all there too, buying 20 boxes at a time!! I feel a letter to HO coming on!

Finally found some in Gateshead area .......SOAP POWDER

Tesco SOUTH SHIELDS .....( bottom of John Reid road ) has at least 100 boxes at the back of the store !

In our Tescos now have signs stating the persil 2.85kg is not the 3kg 75% off item so picked up a non bio pack and sa scanned coupon no bother as when I got one on Saturday.:rotfl:
