I think as customers we need to complain to tesco head office/trading standards over how their staff are seen with trolley loads but none are given out to customers.

Was really pleased to find some leaflets on the tills, went to the car to cut out the vouchers and go back in and someone had removed all the 75% ones. bet it is the staff
  • We should all have an equal chance of getting these i checked out 3 the staff all refused to seem to know what i was talking about ,but very few of us have been actuallly lucky in obtaining these instore, I had to buy from Ebay and when i did take them instore the staff really did grill the vouchers they didnt even want to scan the vouchers i heard every excuse from "where did u get them ", and thats not the exact persil box to you cant have that flavour robinson .........

My Dad went last night about 10pm just as they were restocking. He picked up 3. I went this morning and low and behold none. Howeer I did see a colour one, same price and thought I'd give that a go on the Self Serice. Guess what - it worked.;)

Then i noticed Robinson Barley water was half price at 58p, i think. Then as i was at the tills, a member of staff from a Tesco up the road was buying the persil and bread with the coupons which went through the till fine.

To get to the point, he must have been getting the products free + cash off his shopping as the 75% off would more than cover the half price cost. No wonder he wasnt shopping in his own store.

I wonder if this is the case in other stores that havent displayed the leaflets? Are the products half price instead?
Robinsons Barley is half price everywhere. The coupon takes 75% off the original price, so you get it for 28p or something. Just thought I'd clear that up. :)

But anyway, your store sounds dreadful. They're obviously lying to customers, saying that the coupons don't scan there . I would complain to HO, I mean this is unacceptable!

Are you talking about Persil? :) The MOCs work on all varieties: green, blue and purple, including the ones with 25% free. ;)

Anyway lots of implications of this which i dont like, such as differential pricing

Go and check your local stores!

crazydaisy, the Robinson's is half price but the 75% off coupons actually let you get it at 28p ( it says on the coupon 75% off original price ( with the 75% off in big letters and the original price in much smaller print) then at the side it says originally £1.15 Now 57p With coupon 28p - so actually only 50%ish off the price now, not really 75% at all.
The same sort of thing applies to the Persil - originally £5.98, now £4.98, with coupon £1.49 - so not really 75% off the price it's actually selling at now .
