New Tesco 75% off Leaflets

Just been messing about online, trying to think which tesco is the most likely to have Persil. Am off to Krakow, Poland on Saturday for 4 days and have just found out there is a Tesco there:D . Do you think they'll have any persil and how many coupons should I take with me:rotfl: :rotfl:

Have looked for these in Liverpool, been to four branches. No one I asked has ever heared of them. Has anyone in my area ever seen them?
Can't find the Health & Beauty Discout leaflet that people keep talking about either. But I regularly find bargins in Tesco.

These leaflets are difficult to find. However on Tuesday I got a call from my Dad saying he'd picked a few up in the local Mr.T. I popped down there and true enough there were about 15, all minus the soap powder. I took them. Yesterday I popped in and went to customer services and explained to her. I asked if she had any. You would have thought I'd have asked if she had a spare Gold Ticket to Willie Wonkers Chocolate Factory. Under duress she gave me one. However there was no soap powder on the shelves. On the way out I could understand why. Loading up his car with 6 boxes was another supervisor from the store. Needless to say none today either in 3 Tescos I went to. I did manage to get a couple of dozen packets of Free Mini Eggs from Woolworths though

There are pallets of washing powder at Bradford Peel store on Canal Road, but alas the staff haven't seen the coupons in store ( so they say ).
Brighouse and Batley had no powder in stock , but have had coupons..

Last night in our Tesco found the Kingsmill 50/50 priced at only 50p a loaf so bought 4 and made 42p on each loaf. But no Persil.

Dont waste your time traveling to stores in the Newcastle/Gateshead area for the sole purpose of trying to get soap powder as I have asked at 4 different stores where each one stated no powder would be coming in before the end of next week.

I again feel this may well be ANOTHER clever marketing ploy by tesco.

I would also say even if stores were being delivered too that customers would virtually have little chance of this offer as I have seen several tesco staff with the elusive soap powder the stores are not supposed to have so clearly its not even reaching the shelves.

Tesco used to have a policy where if an offer was out of stock they would issue a note / voucher so you could claim the offer price next time it was back in stock.

Does anyone know if this is still valid ???

No sign of these last night in a further afield store and have never seen any in our local one! Humbug

Managed to buy 4 boxes of Persil (which have a free Mr Men toy inside), 2 Bottles of Robinsons and 2 loafs of bread today in one transaction :T . I noticed some Staff and Security guard with a trolley full of Persil at the Self Scan Machine and thought they might have taken it off a Customer, but on closer inspection it appeared that they were buying it and had coupons! :rolleyes: I guess they thought if you can't beat them, join them! lol

My local Tesco has been a store that has recently stopped (or tried to stop by having a local policy) all coupon use unless you have bought the item.

Also they didnt display any 75% off coupons of the first batch or this new lot for the bread, persil and robinsons. So i approached customer services on monday and asked them why they didnt have the coupons and the girl said she hadnt heard of them and would find out. Being a persistent person i returned the next day to find the news and she informed me that our stores tills werent scanning the 75% off coupons. I asked for some anyway to use elswhere but she said she still had none. I suspected that the store had decided not to use the promotion as it may encourage coupon usage!!!

I was a bit miffed and went off to mooch about, considering complaining to head office.
Then i noticed Robinson Barley water was half price at 58p, i think. Then as i was at the tills, a member of staff from a Tesco up the road was buying the persil and bread with the coupons which went through the till fine.

To get to the point, he must have been getting the products free + cash off his shopping as the 75% off would more than cover the half price cost. No wonder he wasnt shopping in his own store.

I wonder if this is the case in other stores that havent displayed the leaflets? Are the products half price instead?

Anyway lots of implications of this which i dont like, such as differential pricing

Go and check your local stores!
