How's everybody getting on with the switch?

I've not had any updates or request for information from eon.

However I have just checked my account now online and it looks like the Elec switch is complete although I'm a little concerned as they didn't ask me for meter readings.

Just checked again and both accounts are back to pending, which makes more sense.

I may give them a ring to check when they require meter readings. It says on their website they'll contact you 10 days before the switch date to tell you more about when they require the meter readings.

Is it a UK call centre by any chance?

    Hi,
I applied for my transfer on th 9th of February, and so far, I received a "welcome" pack in the post, a letter from EDF saying "sorry you are leaving" and had to enter my Meter Serial Number online (step 2) (without being asked by letter or other). Now, prompted by your message, I see that I am at "step 3": meter reading. EDF confirmed that electricity and gas will be transferred on the 17th and 20th).

I alied on 14th Feb just been told my Fransfer date will be 26th March
  • I have been with e-on since Sept 2007, I've had no problems apart from the price rise.
Having a look at the website again I have switched to the Online saver 5 which is exactly the same prices I was paying 2007 for the online saver so keep your eyes open in the future.
There estimations for gas were £11 per quater under and £20 per quater over for electric. This was when my fish tank tried to boil the fish:eek:
Is £60 per month about right for a 3 bedroom new build? I've never owned a house or paid the bills before.

I rang there customer services today and it was answered within 2 rings talking to someone!
Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:

Just spoken to a very nice lady in the UK call centre. I applied 10th Feb and transfer due to take place on 18th March for Gas and 19th for Elec. A letter was sent out yesterday requesting meter readings but I don't have to wait for it as I can just phone up anytime with the readings.

So far this is turning out to be a lot smoother than my first experience of switching utilities when I went from BG to EDF over 2 years ago.

I'm due to move house in June and at this rate I'll be taking my Eon account with me !!

    Hi there
I am in the process of switching from BG to e-on, have just received a phone call this am from a man at BG who was rude and rather intimidating re my switching (and I'm not shy and retiring!)I was so taken aback  that I cut the conversation short and immediately phoned complaints at BG and spoke to a very nice lady who phoned me back with my complaints number etc and assured me they would deal with it. I still have a service contract with them - but am reconsidering this now.
    :hello:there's me, OH, DS 10, DD 7,
