Right - the jury is in! I can now state that we have achieved a 95% improvement in state of hair! We have gone from greasy strands to slightly shiny in places!! Overall - v impressed!! AND with all that conditioner and shampoo - her hair smells gorgeous!!!
Sounds like one of those dodgy adverts!!0 -
GG, if vaseline is based on proper oil from rigs and things, from my biker days (ooooh, we just so WON'T go there any more than that!) swarfega was the Daddy when it came to getting oil off your hands when you'd been messing around with a two stroke engine.
Is it still available in the shops and has anyone tried it on vaseline?I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Soappie - hubby has just suggested GoJo (which I think is something similar he keeps in the garage!!!) so great minds must be thinking alike!
I'm intrigued about the biker days though!!!0 -
Right, the butternut squash experiment is underway. It didn't look like there was enough room for the finely diced potatoes so they will be put in a little dish on the side and put in the oven with a little olive oil to brown them off a bit.
What I have done is:
Prepare the butternut squash and scooped out the seeds as mentioned earlier.
Lightly sauteed together some baby leek, garlic, celery, smoked bacon. onion all cut into bits. Added some fresh ground black pepper and fresh chopped basil along with skinned, deseeded and chopped fresh tomatoes.
Put all the above into the cavity of the squash. Wrapped in foil and now in the oven. I shall check it in an hour. It'd better be alright, otherwise I'll be doing bacon and eggs - just as well I have a loaf in the BM about to finish in an hour......I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hiya
Just to let you know that it was an absess that needed removing. It's very sore but I am so relieved. The consultant was livid because he knew how worried I was and told the nurse who phoned me to tell me it was an absess and nothing worse. Of course, she didn't. Anyway, i'm still so relieved. Thank you so much for all the support you guys gave me. I really, really appreciate it xx0 -
:T HURRAH HURRAH HURRAH :T
Excellent news Mudbath - I'm sorry you're sore, but hey, it's worth being sore for just an abcess.
Thank you for letting us know - I was thinking about you this evening.
