My LO who has been through more ops than anyone i know and is usually the bravest little soul going is whimpering and whining because the tiny graze on her toe is stinging in the bath:rotfl:

  • Evening everyone.

Not a lot of movement going on here this afternoon. I washed 1 load of washing that i had put in the WM yesterday, and emptied the airers so i could hang it up.

Then i have managed to plan 5 year 7 lessons which will take me through the 1st 2 weeks back, and finally upload some piccies from charlie's 1st birthday party onto facebook.

I then went and got charlie, who has apparently been really quiet and slept for about 3 hours at nursery, he is now eating some fruit cos i have been bad mummy recently and eating lots of crisps so giving him them a lot as a snack.

Bath time and bed time routine are beckoning, and then i need to make toad in the hole for dinner.

Lurkio, i work what might as well be full time as a teacher as i am out the house a minimum of 32 hours a week. DH is out longer hours. We have a 1 year old and i am nearly 7 months pregnant. I do what i can when i can when i can as my job is so demanding. the key is even if you really can't be bothered - do something, even for a few minutes, I never just stand around waiting for dinner to cook, or a kettle to boil. There is always something that i can spot that needs a wipe or needs moving. And definitely get as many people involved as possible. Even my toddler can put something in the bin or pass me something i ask for.

anyway, herbal tea finished - bath time in our house, which usually doubles as me time as i sit on the loo and read a bit of a book or magazine, or pluck my eyebrows or something else that needs doing.

See you all later. Think i might try and do a bit more school work tonight seems though today went so well.

Eating dinner, can't wait for the kids to go to bed, I'm itching to do my kitchen and tackle The Corner Of Doom for real, will pinch myself several times to make sure I am awake this time, and you lot are no use either, I posted that I had done it last night... that was a dream too.

Pigpen I have nail gems on, little tiny stars! I did it myself, I'm getting quite good, I may start charging folk for doing it! :rotfl:

So, plan for tonight, Corner Of Doom, bleach all the units, clean all the cupboard fronts, get ladders and clean the funny bit at the top of the cupboards (they are built in so no tops), tidy out a cupboard or two, 2 WM loads, and do some ironing (hahahahahaha!!)

I'm back to my old firefox, don't like AOL. But DS1 thinks it's great, been teaching him online safety.

Jill, get magnesium tablets! Honestly they have saved my life! I am taking well woman at the moment. Avoid morisons own make magnesium though, they taste really bad. made me feel almost normal and I used to have 'morning sickness' during my period, not any more so long as I take those tabs.

Good evening everyone...only just got in. Had a lovely day with our Auntie who isn't our auntie...she's in her 80s and has decided to go to Australia for a month. I hope i'm that cool at her age.

I need to spend half an hour helping DS put his match attax cards in the binder...on a par with watching paint dry! Does anyone know of any good match attax swap sites or for high school musical. My mum starts them off with them and leaves me to say no, they can't have anymore, lol! Oh well, they're having fun.

Right, need to go and pick my red fiat panda up from the garage. Today is the first day i've not had to park it on some strangers driveway. Oh well, i'll park there again tomorrow! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Right, might have a peep at tomorrow's list. I've got to stay in all day as a parcel is being delivered so might just do a few jobs despite it being half term. Speak soon xx

    I'm doing my own list for tomorrow as it's the only day i'm free to tidy;

    - bathroom
    - s/s kitchen
    - s/s dining room
    - s/s living room
    - clean clinic
    - clean downstairs loo
    - clean floors downstairs throughout
    - 5mGC

Meant to say, my police check came back this morning so I should be starting my voluntary work in the next few weeks. Fingers crossed xx

    ORF update

Apologies for the delay in transmission - technical hitches of the most secret kind. No perps came near my drive today. But, there's some good news and bad news....

Good news is that due to technical hitches I found in the Work work I did at home today, I am working at home tomorrow too (I'm just too good at my job sometimes ;) ). So, Spy D has been contacted and the Concealing of the Car on the Drive part of the operation will occur tomorrow morning too.

Bad news is that DS came home from work and unfortunately, all their web cams are now in use so he can't 'borrow' one for a week. But to mitigate this potential disaster, he has now been tasked with getting me a best buy quote this evening so we can order one. It can be put through the company books (so it gets paid for by untaxed money rather than taxed money) and it would be useful for security purposes it can be moved around the premises to survey different bits of the perimeter.

And the proper neighbourly thing happened this evening. I live in half a house (the downstairs half) someone else lives upstairs. I have the driveway, he doesn't. Tonight there is a football match (I live v. close to a football stadium). Doorbell rings not that long ago - it's upstairs "I couldn't find a parking place anywhere so I've parked across your drive - is that OK?"

Of COURSE it's OK. That's all I need, a knock on the door and a request to do something rather than someone take downright liberties !!!

 ORF update off - you may stand down for the night ladies - and Mud, it'd better not be YOUR f[STRIKE]i[/STRIKE]art:cool:

It seems to me to be mainly for SAH people (apologies if this is not the case, it is just the impression I have got). What if both are working? Me and OH both work and need to get in to some kind of regime to try and get/keep the house in some reasonable state.

    Lurkio, Welcome

I work full time - normally with an hours commute on either side of the working day. I'm fortunate in that I can occasionally work from home (like today and tomorrow) but it's really only occasional.

I am a Mum but my kids are grown up. However, my son and his wife still live me because they can't afford their own place yet. My daughter has left home but still regularly pops back. My DS and D-i-l's room are their own domain - it's up to them to keep it clean. but it falls upon me to do everything else because I don't want to nag them.

I have found this thread absolutely invaluable since I joined it just before Christmas. It really does help you to focus on what needs doing and what can be done in the available time. I don't do many level threes and I don't do all the level twos but I try to do most of the level ones. I have found that having an online list that everyone can see is a good motivator. Instead of leaving EVERYTHING to the weekend now, I have done some of it in the week. It's amazing what you can do in half an hour if you focus. It means weekends are a little freer. Give it a go - you have nothing to lose!

Forgot to mention - I don't have an OH anymore so that's one less person to clean up after :grin
